Scott Brown ‘Yea’ on New START
National Review Online - The Corner ^ | 12/19/2010 | Andrew Stiles

Posted on 12/20/2010 2:53:39 PM PST by Fury

After basically evading reporters all day, the Massachusetts Republican recently announced that he will support the arms reduction treaty. Brown told reporters following a closed-session intelligence briefing that he had given the issue “due diligence” and hoped see the treaty ratified. “I believe it’s something that’s important for our country, and I believe it’s a good move forward to deal with our national security issues,” he said.

A cloture vote is expected on Tuesday.

START and national security? ROTF!

START is nothing but a diversion and a joke.

If he were concerned about national security he would be thinking terrorist not nuclear conflict with the Russians.

We should quit wasting money on lost causes like Massachusetts...spend the money on conservative candidates in other states...

Well he was much better than the other idiot....but not much. At least the Kennedy Kingdom fell and ol’ Scott will too.....He’s there for the short term, though he may think otherwise. We’ll take him out in the next round...but he did serve our purpose at the time...as has been said...the best you’re going to get from Mass.

Scott Brown’s biggest flaw is that he has shown himself incapable of understanding that he symbolized something!

Yep...but then we figured he'd wig out. Not surprised in the least. I think some had hoped he m-i-g-h-t stand on critical issues...but over all it was a wait and see. Well we all see...he's the Rino all thought he was. But nothing new that he might be so sither.

5) Russia can opt out any time they want, but we have to still abide by it.

WTF?

Don’t change the plays that weren’t happening then Kim. We all knew what he was...have you already missed the point of why he was supported by the Tea Party?

I’d give him a break on one or two, but he doesn’t stop.

I don’t think he’ll be nominated, as a republican anyway. It’s a shame for the party. It sure looks like he’s toast.

Didn’t there exist a time when lots of HEARINGS were held on serious topics? This has become outrageously wrong and incompetent.

Don’t the republicans even call for hearings?

We’ll get him then Onyx....but are you really surprised. I’m not one bit. He played politics and won ...and I am still glad he did...oh coakly went down hard...Kennedy’s are done...and The Tea Party’s power was seen and heard.

If I didn’t think about these then and now I would not have been supportive. Traitor?...of course. Brown is out for Brown and we knew that.

“Mr. 41” to stop the Obama agenda turns out to be “Mr. 60” for the Democrats.

Beyond disgusting.

You can say that again. Doesn't sound like a "treaty" to me, but a hamstringing of the USA. Putin must be laughing his ass off.
