Because the RATs didn't have enough time between last night and midnight tonight to draft another Porkulus bill. They figure Tuesday ought give 'em enough time. Meanwhile, the Republicans put forth a one-page Continuing Resolution which extends it until, I think, April. The RATs can't accept that, because then the Republicans would be in charge.

They’re always up to something sneaky. Apparently they will be scurrying all about trying to cook up something by Tuesday. Despiration is as despiration does.
As my Ol Grandad used to say, they wished in one hand and pooped in the other, guess which one filled up faster.

Of course they are up to something. They intend to hold up further extentions pending a passed budget. No budget, no continuing resolution. Why would they be keeping themselves in session, along with the senate, were there not such a motive?

Meanwhile, the resolution pertains to keeping the government open. Essential functions of government will operate. Assuming they shut down the non essential functions, wait till no one notices there is no difference in outcomes.
