WASHINGTON (AP) The House has cleared the way for final action in Congress on legislation to avoid a Jan. 1 increase in income taxes for millions and renew jobless benefits for the long-term unemployed.
Liberals oppose the bill because of a generous estate tax provision, but even some of the measure's critics concede it will pass without changes.

I get madder, and madder and madder with each passing day. Just unbelievable.
They will debate for about 3 hours and vote on it by midnight.
When this passes tonight, the flood gates are likely to break open for all the other bad legislation.

If I have it correct, and votes were not changed after initial recording, this bill actually got more votes from Democrats than Republicans.
