Tell your Senators to vote NO to the earmark laden $1.1 trillion "omnibus" spending bill
Americans For Prosperity ^ | 12-16-10 | AFP

Republicans need to hear from us just like the Democrats do so please contact both your Senators now. Just 4 eye-popping numbers in the Reid "omnibus" spending bill say it all: *1,924 pages long at $575.13 million spent per page *$1 billion -- for pre-funding of the un-Constitutional Obama/Pelosi/Reid health care takeover *6,488 pork-barrel earmarks identified so far Think about this. After failing to complete its budget for yet another year, this failed Senate is pushing this $1.1 trillion monstrosity of deficit spending. As Harry Reid arrogantly said, "We're not through. Congress ends January 4."

Umm... Senate already voted and approved the bill. Don’t they mean “Call your Congressional Representative?”

Tell who?

I have two socialist/lame duck bastards in Ohio (Sherrod Brown and G. Voinovich).

Two sure votes for whatever Harry puts out there, including Faggot/Dyke benefits, Amnesty, Porkulus 3, etc., etc.

Rob Portman is coming to kick Voinovich's ass out the door, but it's too late for help with the lame-duck garbage dumping as they head out the door.

We're screwed for at least 2 more years (the Messiah will veto anything close to repeals or rollbacks of the Agenda that's been put in place already).

We won't see a return of the USA....not in our lifetimes without an armed rebellion by We The People.

Gingrich is on FoxNews saying that a government shutdown looms amid standoff over spending bill.

[Yeah, Newt, your shutdown was such a rousing success. /s]

Gingrich has been using that s-word since the 2006 Congressional defeats.

The phrase, a one-trick pony, comes to mind.

I just found a list of all the earmarks and the requesters in both the senate and the house. 29 pages. Check it out here...

The Omnibus funds Obama Deathcare.

Any Republican voting for it should be permanently expelled from the party.

I just heard my Sen Scott Brown say no on omnibus on the radio. He does get some things right. (Not enough lately)

Brown has been good at times.

Given the state he represents, this is about the best we can expect for now.

You are mistaken. The Senate passed the tax bill. This thread is about the mammoth $1.1 trillion spending bill that Harry Reid unloaded. A different piece of legislation, and as bad as Obamacare last Christmas. Shameful -- and this vote will be close.

Call ALL Senators. Reid and the Democratic leadership have the people confusing this massive spending bill with the tax-rate extension bill now being considered in the House.

Even FOX News cannot keep this straight for people, and the confusion is dampening public OUTRAGE.

Were they not rolled into the same package? I apologize for my misunderstanding.

Tell them that Article 1, Section 7 of the U.S. Constitution says in part:

“All bills for raising Revenue shall originate in the House of Representatives;...”

No. They are not in the same package.

The House passed a clean CR. Reid and Durbin and Schumer have dumped a massive separate bill of $1.1 TRILLION of new spending and believe they have 60 votes to invoke cloture, in part because of 2 GOP rotten defectors who are leaving: Voinovich and Bennett + Thad Cochran, the king of pork.

People must burn up the phone lines with ALL senators to raise HELL about the new spending bill and DEMAND a clean CR to keep the government funded into January. The government runs out of money this Saturday, and Reid is playing a game of chicken with a possible government shutdown.

I simply cannot believe, in light of the election results, that Red State RATS up for re-election in 2012 would go along with this massive bill - Webb, Nelson, Tester, Manchin, and others — it makes zero sense.

I’ve got Menendez and Lautenburg.

I wouldn’t waste the keystrokes.

I would like to see the 80+ new Republicans organize as a group and have a spokesman to talk about things like this going on while they are waiting to be sworn in. I think they need to weigh in with a message that the refudiated Congress shouldn't be doing this, and if it does, we will not go along with things like raising the debt ceiling and continuing this spending spree. They will not go along with anything until this crap is repealed.

This is like a poison pill.

I would love to see that ,too. I don't know if they could organize a 2-car parade let alone agree on a spokesperson. Ryan or Pence would be a good one.
