Indonesian prosecutors on Tuesday sought a seven-month prison sentence for a US retiree accused of blasphemy after he allegedly pulled the plug on a mosque loudspeaker during a prayer reading. The August 22 incident in the middle of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan resulted in retired Californian engineer Gregory Luke, 64, needing a police escort from his home on Lombok island as a mob tore it to pieces around him. (Snip) Mr Luke has previously denied pulling the plug on the loudspeakers used to broadcast the call to prayer – a feature on most mosques in Indonesia.

Why an American would want to retire to third world hellhole is beyond me.

The great thing about Islam (if you’re a Muslim, that is) is they make up the rules as they go along. Pulling the plug of a loudspeaker is a major crime that can net you up to 5 years in prison. Yet, literally tearing a guy’s house down is just fine. Think about it. Which act truly blasphemes the purported beliefs of Islam.

You’d think the Indonesian electrical codes would require such loudspeakers to be hardwired

I think a lot of the speakers have too much amplifier and make a terribly annoying sound distortion.

The truly great thing about Islam is that, whenever something goes wrong, you can just blame it on the nearest infidel. Do they explain how this guy allegedly got into the mosque to pull the plug?

He probably didn’t do it but I’ll bet he complained about the noise to the mosque. Then when the PA system broke and they couldn’t do their calls to prayer, he became the infidel scapegoat. He deserves it all though for retiring to a muslim hellhole.

The Ausies have found that yodelling offends the pigs and monkeys of that bloody false religion. Now Dr.Luke is being persecuted in Indonesia because the gibber jabber of their loud and offensive loudspeakers was offensive to a rational man.And all the while America sleeps while the enemy gathers strength enough to slay us-or make us subject to their evil system.
