This is a societal problem. Government, federal, state and local has too quickly become overly authoritarian above its ability to confiscate and take citizens’ firearms. The ‘problem’ is when those among us cannot abide the oppression peacefully.

Yup. In the extraordinarily rare occasion that this kind of thing happens, I have to wonder what it was that precipitated the event. Was it a Drega moment, or  just a nutjob.

I find it interesting to look at the reactions of sites like this and DU before any real information is in. The knee jerk responses are informative.

Given how heavy-handed government at all levels can be these days, and how aribtary and capriciously they often act, it's suprising that something similar doesn't happen more often.
