CIA RECRUITING COMMERCIALS

CIA recruitment commercials are running a lot on Houston Television.

These commercials say the applicant will work locally. In the commericial the character narrating says she won't be able to tell her friends what she does.

Is this happening nationwide? Is this a program to get people to spy on each other? Is this that 250,000 man "army" obama wants?

I’m thinking about joining up and “reporting” that liberals are talking about overthrowing the government. Of course now I’ve screwed myself since some local CIA spy has probably read this.

Seriously, this is some scary stuff.

I’ve seen several of them (also in Houston) ... CIA clandestine services recruiting commercials.

I doubt it is for local work, though. The CIA’s jurisdiction is largely external ... the FBI does most internal surveillance.

It is also commonplace for positions like that to have aspects that you cannot tell friends or sometimes family. I went through the early stages of the FBI Special Agent selection process, and they make it very clear that there is information that cannot be disclosed (Bradley Manning notwithstanding).

I have wondered the same thing, the CIA clandestine operations group. Ever wonder why so many wannabe terrorist/killers for hire and other schemers are caught by undercover FBI agents? There must be tons of them out there.

My wife got me to paying attention. And the commercials do say “local clandestine operations”. I know the FBI does this type work but I’m starting to believe the CIA may be moving in. In this day and age I’d believe about anything about the government.

They are probably planning to focus on North Mexico. The DEA’s efforts obviously aren’t producing desirable results.

Anyone asking why our intelligence agencies, all of them, haven’t outed the enemies within this Regime?

I've seen the add in Dallas.

Speaking of the CIA and recruiting... a former co-worker was recruited by the CIA. Co-worker did not initiate the recruiting process.

He worked on the IT team of a theater non-profit (I think he also worked as an actor and did fund-raising). Then out of nowhere every e-mail address associated with him was hit by a recruiting full-court press. Apparently, the CIA was monitoring his activity and thought he would be a good candidate. My co-worker turned the offer.

I bet there's quite a few folks in the clandestine service that have acting backgrounds/ability.

” The CIA’s jurisdiction is largely external “

Used to be, sort of. They always have been involved in domestic spying but they used foreign sources that gathered information using US systems. Basically, they circumvented the law. They have been creating in cooperation with the DoD, DHS, and NC, various data mining facilities and expending existing ones. These effort are not required to keep track of foreign or domestic hostiles. Besides, if there are that many domestic terrorists just who the Hell have we be turing away at our borders? Anyone?

Hmmmm. I have some “acting” background. Wonder what it pays. Then again, probably way too old unless they want us old tea party types spied on.

I really think it would be funny to “spy” on a bunch of liberals and falsely report they’re involved in “conservative” activity. I could be a “double naught” spy.

I’ve seen these commercials here in Atlanta as well.

I saw the ad run in the DFW area. It was weird. There was an actress in red going on about her hush-hush job and it showed her meeting a guy in a restaurant. It was weird. Like the CIA was recruiting escorts or something.

Heck, maybe they were.
