“What recession? Shoppers eat up Black Friday deals”

Anne D’Innocenzio, AP Retail Writer, On Friday November 26, 2010, 10:37 pm EST

“For one day at least, you could almost imagine the recession never happened. Millions of the nation’s shoppers braved rain and cold to crowd stores while others grabbed online bargains on what could be the busiest Black Friday ever.”

Somewhat related to this thread but not exactly is a question that came up as I read the title -— why do they call the day after Thanksgiving BLACK Friday ( and why do the racial hustlers not complain about it )?

The average order rose to $190.80. That's a 12 percent increase over $170.19 on the same day last year.

Could it be that prices are just higher this year compared to the same time last year, or that the retailers online aren't offering discounts as large as they did last year ?

I remember last year All Propaganda touted wonderful BF numbers, better Christmas spending, yada, yada, yada, but when the final numbers came in, Christmas shopping expenditures were down from the previous year after all.

When it comes to news that supports the interests of their members, namely advertising publishers, remember that All Propaganda is simply the national version of your local paper which is always trumpeting their latest lame “shop local” nonsense because that’s who advertises in their paper.

Not to mention AP’s over-riding interest in spewing propaganda to try and prop up the Obammunist Regime.
