Like many recent articles in Lancet, a once respected medical journal, this is pure crap. Years ago the WHO did a massive and authoritative study on "second hand smoke" and found that fears about it harming people are unfounded. The study used to be on the internet but I believe it has long since been censored and scrubbed.

You forgot to mention that the WHO study you referred to also found that second hand smoke is not only not deadly or even neutral but in fact HAS A PREVENTATIVE EFFECT ON THE LUNGS OF CHILREREN!
