US President Barack Obama's Kenyan grandmother says she prayed during a hajj pilgrimage to Mecca for the American leader to convert to Islam, a newspaper revealed on Thursday.
"I prayed for my grandson Barack to convert to Islam," said Sarah Omar, 88, in an interview with Al-Watan Saudi daily held in Jeddah after she had performed hajj.
The paper said that Omar was in Saudi Arabia on pilgrimage along with her son, Obama's uncle Saeed Hussein Obama, and four of her grandchildren.

I'm pretty sure there is a translation issue here. I doubt very much she said 'convert'. More than likely she meant that she wants him to become a more 'observant' Muslim. She wants him to come out of the closet.
From all that he himself has said and done combined with his absolute obsession with all things Islamic leaves little doubt about where Obama's allegiance is.
He's as Muslim as a New York cab driver.

I thought they were poor folks.
That is probably true because in the Muslim world Barack IS Muslim by virtue of his birth to a Muslim father. (Of course that has not been documented officially because of Barack's refusal to release his birth record stating what hospital he was born in.)

I´d put my money on him being a run-of-the-mill atheist liberal. After all, liberals tend to show more reverence to Islam than most Imams...
Google translate of the original Arabic article says she wants him "to enter God in Islam".
Need a Freeper who reads Arabic to take a look at the original article.
And that defines the great contradiction.
Muslims make no secret about where they stand. Atheism, homosexuality, abortion, feminism, (all things the Left uses to define themselves) can get you killed in an Islamic nation. And yet the Left loves Muslims and hates Christians. Their logic, just on the face of it, is upside down and backwards. I don’t get it?
Oh well, but yes, even if Obama is not a practicing Muslim, he is definitely an Islamophile. His administration has been marked by an obsessive fixation on Islam. It started with his misguided ‘apology tour’ (which was the very first thing he did as President) and continues to today with saying that the primary goal of NASA is ‘Muslim outreach’.
Whether he is a religious Muslim or not is not all that important. What is important is that he behaves like one. And that effects our country, our lives, and the world in general.
Its too bad the reporter didn’t ask her where her dear grandson was really born.
