(Mistaken substitution of one word for another usually results from a nearby neuron firing in place of the one intended. I’ve been amused to find that I store month-names-beginning-with-A near each other, having on occasion said or typed April when I meant August, or vice versa.)
I’ve said “bartender” when I meant “barber”. I have never said “barber” when I meant to say “bartender”. Interesting that.
