Sarah Palin: 'We've got to stand with our North Korean allies' (Liberals Are Loving It)

Sarah Palin never claimed she could see Russia from her house – that was Tina Fey – but she went one better on Glenn Beck's radio show in discussing the tensions in the Korean Peninsula and saying: "We've got to stand with our North Korean allies".

A transcript of the radio show reads:

Interviewer: How would you handle a situation like the one that just developed in North Korea?

Palin: Well, North Korea, this is stemming from a greater problem, when we're all sitting around asking, 'Oh no, what are we going to do,' and we're not having a lot of faith that the White House is going to come out with a strong enough policy to sanction what it is that North Korea is going to do. So this speaks to a bigger picture that certainly scares me in terms of our national security policy. But obviously, we've got to stand with our North Korean allies – we're bound to by treaty....

Interviewer: South Korean.

Palin: Yes, and we're also bound by prudence to stand with our South Korean allies, yes.

In the bottom picture, to her right are Boehner, Ryan and Cantor. Who is it on her left?

I don't have to watch Michele (one L) Bachmann. I am a huge supporter of hers. Sarah Palin speaks effectively enough (without notes, except maybe once and awhile on her hand) and she draws crowds like no other. Michele Bachman is not a possible candidate for the GOP nomination this time around, but Sarah Palin *is* a real possibility.

All Sarah Palin has to do is articulate her visions and solutions half as well as she writes and both the nomination and the election will be hers.

Obama can't have his telepromter in the debates. He can only have his sycophantic media feeding him softballs.

My dream ticket is Sarah Palin and Michele Bachmann but our country is likely not ready for a solid estrogen ticket.

PlainTVunfilered has a lot of Sarah's speeches, interviews, etc.

Did Reagan ever call the USSR our ally? I doubt it.

Sarah Palin hasn't either....DUH.

Perception is reality in politics. Just the other night, I saw a 21 year old writing "potatoe" and not doing so as a joke. I still think of Quayle when I see it.

The standard is not fairly applied but she must be working to improve her image if she really expects to get the nomination and try to defeat O.

Isn’t it actually 59 states? I think he said, he had been to 57 and only had two more to go.

abdicating her duties as governor to become a TV star

Nice try, but it's so far from the truth you ought to be ashamed of yourself. AK Democrats were promising to bankrupt her family with an endless parade of baseless "ethics" charges, and her "Republican" enemies in Alaska were inclined to let them get away with it. Resigning put a stop to the witch hunts and made better financial sense for her, her family, and her Party.

Here's what you conveniently missed (feel free to apologize, as you've promised): energized a base that probably wouldn't have turned out in 2008 to vote for McCain at all -- and saved some downticket congressmen as a result, raised tons of money for her party and its candidates, gave additional momentum to the Tea Party (which isn't yet done paying dividends by a long shot.)

But by all means do let your PDS run away with you.

Almost comically pathetic how the koolaid drinking members of her cult of personality wont stop defending her. Inability to answer a question about what she reads, endosring John McCain, not being able to cite a specific Supreme Court case, abdicating her duties as governor to become a TV star, exploiting her kids on TV like Kate Gosselin or Hulk Hogan. I apologize if I’ve missed something. I’d find it humorous if Obama weren’t laughing all the way to another 4 years should the dunces nominate her.

You are being sophomoric and condescending towards some pretty intelligent "koolaid drinking members" and "dunces". You would prefer to nominate Romney, I'm sure. His nomination would split the party, cause a third party candidate, and hand it over to the Democrats again. You may not have heard of Ross Perot, but you may find it interesting reading.

OK Youth, here’s your post from 10/8:

“If I were Bill Maher I’d be her loudest cheerleader. Since we probably won’t win the Senate this year, 2012 would be an ideal opportunity with good prospects in PA, MO, VA and MT among others. We could lose the House. We can’t have a Goldwater-like drag on the ticket when the stakes are that high. Her approval rating runs around 22%.”

So who, pray tell, do you support for POTUS 2012? We certainly know who you DON’T support...LOL!

They feel the same about her as about Reagan . . . who also ~gasp~ misspoke on occasion, and far more seriously:

The stupidity of Ronald Reagan. By Christopher Hitchens

Ronald Reagan claimed that the Russian language had no word for "freedom." (The word is "svoboda"; it's quite well attested in Russian literature.) Ronald Reagan said that intercontinental ballistic missiles (not that there are any non-ballistic missiles—a corruption of language that isn't his fault) could be recalled once launched.

To take your points on Sarah rather than Reagan, once she realized that she was facing a vicious attack interview, her unwillingness to answer a question about what she was reading and not citing a Supreme Court case that would be used against her rather than dealing more effectively with the evil she faced shows that she was not then ready for the insanity of the far left media. Let's see if she's ready in 2012. Endorsing McCain bothers me, but I'm willing to write that one off as loyalty if she is otherwise acceptable. Keeping her kids with her as she travels strikes me as good parenting. I've seen it as exposing her kids to the world rather than using them as props. Note: I am thrilled with Jim DeMint but also convinced that he does not plan to run in 2012. If I find a viable candidate who is better than Sarah Palin, I will happily support that person in 2012. So far though, it would take someone exceptional to win my vote if she chooses to run.

Doesn’t matter why she quit. The reality is she quit in her first term as governor. What’s she going to do against a partisan opposition Congress?

Honestly I don’t know who I will support, I despise Romney and Gingrich. I don’t hate Huckabee but I think he’s way too socialist. I’ll take a look at Thune and Pawlenty or maybe someone else, I don’t know the full field yet. I’ll likely hold my nose and vote for Palin in the primary if it really comes down to an odious choice. I’d like to have faith that a decent compromise candidate can be put up against Palin to derail a Republican slaughter.

I wanna know who youth supports and why...I’ll be waiting for that.

Don't know, don't care, and won't be waiting. And there's no need to, anyway: rhymes with sh!t.

This was at the Tea Party Express rally in Reno, NV last week (Go Sharron Angle!). The lady in the cowboy hat with the sweet smile is my wife Sheila. And that’s Syncro’s left eyeball in the upper left as he focuses his video camera.

Sarah was introduced to me by Sal Russo (leader of the Tea Party Express) who introduced me as Jim Robinson from freerepublic.com. She said thank you for all you guys have done, then leaned forward and gave me a little cheek to cheek hug. I took it as she loves the FReepers and pass it on to all of you!!

Woo hoo!! FR is Palin Country!!

It does matter in the context of this discussion, because you claimed her reason for quitting was "to become a TV star."

It's your quote. Please do just try to keep up.

Pollster1 said: I believe that should be "knows".

Of course. It's a curious mistake.

I know that I can readily type "their" instead of "there". Because my vision isn't what it should be, I sometimes can't see clearly what I have just typed, though I always proofread my posts.

I think it might be that I was mentally anticipating the apostrophe in "government's" and somehow threw one in early. I'm a self-taught typist and apostrophes take a disproportionate amount of time and effort.

The mistaken uses of "their" and "there" I think are due to the brain hearing the sound and failing to choose properly while typing. I DO know the difference and I think I have improved my accuracy rate on this through increased attention. I'll have to pay more attention to apostrophes.
