Coffman blasts Fort Hood report
DDN ^ | November 22, 2010 | Peter Marcus

Republican Congressman Mike Coffman is concerned that a recent report on the 2009 Fort Hood shooting rampage caused by a Muslim Army psychiatrist does not include an analysis of Islamic extremism.

Coffman, R-Aurora, wrote a letter to Secretary of Defense Robert Gates on Friday, warning of the “dangerous risk” to national security from not acknowledging the “threat posed by radical Islam.”

“A political ideology has emerged that is fraudulently camouflaged within a religious tradition and is so twisted in its beliefs that it values death over life and uses terrorism as its only tactic,” wrote Coffman, a decorated military man.

The Fort Hood report released this month detailed changes made since the shootings, such as programs to identify threats within the military and training for soldiers on how to react to an “active shooter.” But it makes no mention of violent Islamic extremism.

Coffman suggested President Obama’s administration does not want to publicize the dangers of Islamic extremism.

Groping by TSA screeners is Obama’s solution to the Islamic terrorist threat, but it’s understandable coming from someone who’s never actually done or been anything.

". . . dangers of Islamic extremism. . ."

Well, if the administration did in fact permit this, then they'd all have to begin citing the dangers of the little tin god in the "white house", now wouldn't they!!??

Can’t let the public think there’s a group with 1 billion members which practices murder every day and dreams of killing every one of us and taking over this country.

I'm almost too apoplectic to post here.

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

Does this not mean anything anymore?

Your constitution is being sacrificed on the altar of political correctness. There is a set of people among us, a subset of which is totally responsible for ALL THE TERROR ACTS. We don't know how big the subset is. We don't know how many of the larger set sympathizes with the subset. In any case they certainly are not interested in turning them in to the authorities.

Given these facts how is it "unreasonable" to start searching this set of people so that we can ferret out the subset? In other words: PROFILE!

A political ideology has emerged that is fraudulently camouflaged within a religious tradition

The political ideology is inseparable from the religious doctrine.

It hasn't meant anything since the War on Drugs.

it makes no mention of violent Islamic extremism

There are two quotes befitting this and many government reports of occurrences.

"Who controls the past controls the future; who controls the present controls the past" George Orwell : 1984

"History is lies agreed upon." Napoleon Bonaparte

There are other notable quotes of course.

”Political language... is designed to make lies sound truthful and murder respectable, and to give an appearance of solidity to pure wind.”

Liberalism is the science of making lies sound as truth; it is the enemy of accountability as much as it is of liberty and honesty.

"The true hypocrite is the one who ceases to perceive his deception, the one who lies with sincerity." Andre Gide
