Well, sounds like Jimmy has the right idea on priorities. I repeat this remark from other posters for its importance: Cut down the salaries of federal employees. It takes money out of about everyone else’s to provide theirs, not to mention potentially also foreign debt. Incentive to get involved in the private sector also needs a degree of balance with the public in the form of a smaller salary gap.

GOProud doesn’t even hide the fact that it’s a homosexual militant activist group. Why else would they form a political pac based on mutual interest in sodomy? Why else would one of their first priorities during war time be to mandate open homosexuality in all military branches? These freaks are intent on weakening this nation in order to obsessively pursue their own perverted sexual fetish.

I believe Freepers could have come up with a better list of demands. Conspicuously missing was any reference to “entitlement” programs which are killing the country and will in short order, bankrupt us worse than we already are. There can be no long term solution to this spending spree without some serious changes in entitlements, period. I know this TEA Party bunch knows that so, I wonder what gives?

The Media Reaction:
Judson Phillips

The media and who speaks for the Tea Party movement

From the CNN article linked to in the main text above:
"A letter signed mostly by members of Tea Party groups rather than leaders of Tea Party groups rather than leaders of Tea Party groups seems like an awfully cheap way to try to make it look like you have a lot of signatories..."
Taken directly from the article, poorly written as it is.

Notice that they must have leaders of the Tea Party Movement separate from regular tea party members.

Sorry guys, each and every one of the tens of millions of Tea Party Citizens is a/the leader/leaders of the TPM!

I wish the letter would have asked the powers to eliminate all the money we are paying to the aclu for the work they do on behalf of the folks.

I think destroying cultural Marxism is the key to stopping the left. Progress has been made with respect to the media, but public schools continue to churn out millions upon millions of socialists every year. Without tackling public education the government will simply get bigger and bigger.

The Tea Party is about TAXES and shouldn’t be co-opted into social agendas. if co-opted that way we will position ourselves as just another right-wing political organization.

The Tea Party does not belong to any one party but contains members from all parties wanting lower taxes.

we are FISCAL not SOCIAL CONSERVATIVES.

“The question is where to start. Here is the answer. Let’s start by eliminating waste, fraud and abuse from the budget. Billions of dollars are wasted through programs that are unneeded, unnecessary and exist only to benefit special interests. Let’s go through the budget line by line and eliminate these programs.

We in the Tea Party are ready to help on this one. We know you have staffs. We have thousands of volunteers who are prepared to rip the budget apart and help you. All you have to do is ask us. “
_____________

Lets not wait for them to ask. We need a copy of proposed budget and lets take this into our own hands!!!!

What a wonderful way of saying, “we’re your supervisor, your manager, the CEO, and the Board of Directors! This is your first set of assignments. We’ll be checking on your progress and will provide assistance when, and if, necessary.” Great start!

I have not found the list of the 180+ signatories [a link to full doc ??] to this latest letter [which I find MUCH better than any part of the GOProud letter].
I have need of it as my local TeaPartisan Patriot leader was one of the GOProud-letter signers and she was chastised for that action but could not discern what was “wrong” with the action.

It seems that there are a lot of these “leaders” that have little or no political sensibilities and that naivety is going to become a real problem in the near future - or in next few seconds.
So I will effort again to “enlighten” this person even though she insists on being “right” about the “GOProud letter” action.

She claimed she did not know who/what LogCabin Repubs were or what GOProud was about/where it originated.
That to me is the more disturbing matter than the BS/”enemy-inside-the-wire” GOProud letter.

From Idaho where it is now in blizzard conditions.
