Mike Huckabee may not have made “The View’s” 10 most fascinating people list (though Justin Bieber and Sarah Palin did), but the former governor of Arkansas still received compliments on Monday’s show. Host Joy Behar, the talk show’s outspoken liberal said of Huckabee, “He’s my favorite Republican,” as co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck, the resident conservative of the bunch, feigned shock that it wasn’t her.
But before sharing her affection for the governor, Behar and her co-hosts grilled him (daytime TV-style) about whether he plans to throw his hat in the 2012 ring.
“Will you be running for president?” Barbara Walters asked Huckabee right off the bat.
“It’s for me a decision that I will make later in the year, next year,” said Huckabee. He said his decision would be based, in part, on whether he’s got enough support. “If people are sick of me, I probably won’t do it. The serious questions are, is there enough financial support and enough organizational support.”
The Fox News personality went on to say that America starts the presidential process way too early and that “there is too much of a focus on process and not policy.”

But back on topic; I’m surprised Behar’s favorite “Republican” isn’t the embarassment Megan McCain.

I like Huckabee, but, I saw Whoopi on his show saturday and he was doing everything but standing on his head to please her. Nice guy but not for President.
What does Whoopi have, a third grade education? Who cares what her views are?

And Behar’s affection for Huckabee is certainly troubling. This is not good for the former gov.
Did he call out Joy for her vile comments about Sharron Angle? If not then shame on him.
