"I think the American people are worried when they see an administration worried about reading Miranda rights to the underwear bomber," Jindal said. "[They're] so worried about rights of the terrorists, what about the rights of innocent American travelers?"

And just a reminder...We were warned about the panty bomber, not once but twice,....BY THE BOMBER'S FATHER...and we totally ignored it.
It would be easier to accept the TSA searches if obama didn’t kiss up to the muslims so much. Every charge except one was dropped for ghailani and we’re supposed to trust Obama on security?
what about the rights of innocent American travelers?”

Geaux Bobby!
There were plans to roll out these machines when Bush was president. They just hadn’t been installed at that point in time.
Frequent flyers have been complaining about the TSA at flyertalk.com since the TSA was created in 2002.
In 2004, when Bush was in office, two Muslim women wore suicide vests and blew up two airliners on domestic flights in Russia. They were upset because the Russians killed their husbands in the Chechneyan war. As a result, the TSA started patting down and groping the breasts of women travelers at checkpoints in American airports. The policy was dropped when thousands of women complained.
There were also reports of men getting their genitals groped at various airports....I’m not sure if it was official policy, but it happened from time to time. There were threads on flyertalk.com by pissed off travelers about this during the Bush years.
The $10,000 fine for trying to withdraw from the screening process was around when Bush was in office, too.
The whole thing it coming to a head now because (1) the nudie scanners, which originally were in 19 airports are in 68 airports, with plans to put them in ALL airports and (2) the policy change on October 29th to require the TSA to conduct more aggressive patdowns with the front of their hands.
Also, that image of the nun being searched by a female, Muslim TSA agent......I believe that image was taken during the Bush years. That photo has been making the rounds on the Internet for quite some time. Also, any image that shows TSA “officers” wearing white shirts are older images....they have been wearing royal blue shirts for some time now.
Just out of curiosity: what legal avenues do governors have with airports in their state? Could a governor send Sheriffs in to arrest and incarcerate TSA thugs?
If they can charge for tickets and baggage, they can also check the people and their carry-ons and luggage. It's their planes and their customers.
TSA seems to be the folks that flunked the likability test for the DMV.
