George Will: Palins Non-Presidential TV Appearances Will Not Lead to the WH
Sarah Palin can been seen all over television this week from the debut of TLCs Sarah Palins Alaska to her daughters controversial appearance in the finale of ABCs Dancing with the Stars but can Americans see her in the White House in 2012? George Will says no.
The independent voters have made up their minds about her, and it is a negative judgment theyve made, ABCs George Will said on the This Week roundtable.
In an interview with Barbara Walters that airs December 9th, Sarah Palin stated her belief that she could defeat President Obama if she chose to run for president in 2012. According to George Will, however, she has yet to accomplish what voters need to view her as a serious political figure.
After the 2008 campaign she had two things she had to do: she had to go home to Alaska and study, and she had to govern Alaska well, Will told This Week anchor Christiane Amanpour. Instead she quit halfway through her first term and shows up in the audience of Dancing with the Stars and other distinctly non-presidential venues.

perhaps she should build an overpriced gazeebo in Wasilla.
Won’t HE be surprised when she’s sworn in?
This is fun to watch...
George’s ignorance of what Sarah was up against in Alaska, all alone and with NO help from the National GOP, is clear...
The talking heads and elites are pulling a “TSA” on Palin lately. What gives?
No one is smarter than George Will...just ask him.
I never have like the little nerd.
George is slipping a bit if he imagines that the non-political/a-political fringe he refers to as "independents" can actually control American political life.
I will have to agree with George Will here. The overexposure doesn’t do her any good. She is only slightly behind Obama in terms of exposure.
We will see about that. Times are more informal. I don’t think the reality TV hurts Palin, except among the stick up the butt set.
I pretty much agree with Will.
I heard a good one on Dennis Prager the other day. Applied to Will it goes as follows:
George Will tells everyone he is a self-made man and which is why he worships his creator.
Well then you have nothing to worry about, eh Georgie? You can go back to watching your Cubs fail in peace.
George Will and Christiane Amanpour?
What a dweebfest.
But community activism will?
I use to like Sarah Palin but She is starting to grate me the wrong way.
Would we accept this kind of exposure from HRC?....I don't think so.
Someone should have called the undertaker for this has been long ago. He’s cold, stiff, and rotting! I remember the Doonesbury (yeah I know Trudeau is an asshole along with his wife) strips where the word and quote boys were constantly tasked to think up some new form of erudition in order to make Will look smart. The thing that really burns me about this asshole is he pretends to be a Cubs fan. Now I was born there and have a been a true die-hard fan all my life. This putz probably throws like that panty-waist Obongo!
