'Muted response' was decision 'made by the president himself'
Although the U.S. Defense Department and North American Aerospace Defense Command have speculated publicly that the unidentified contrail of a projectile soaring into the skies off the California coast and recorded by a KCBS television crew came from a jet and posed no security threat to the U.S., several experts are raising provocative and disturbing questions about the government's official response, reports Joseph Farah's G2 Bulletin.
Two governmental military experts with extensive experience working with missiles and computer security systems have examined the television video and conclude the mysterious contrail originating some 30 miles off the coast near Los Angeles did not come from a jet but rather, they say the exhaust and the billowing plume emanated from a single source nozzle of a missile, probably made in China.
They further suggest the missile was fired from a submerged Chinese nuclear submarine off America's coast, and point out that the timing of the alleged Chinese missile shot coincided with an increasing confrontation between the U.S. and China, and was likely meant to send a message to Washington.
Indeed, the Federal Aviation Administration documents that there were no aircraft flying in the area at that time, the night of Nov. 8.

I’ve seen it on fr that it was everything from a US SLBM, China one, North Korean, a SAM, and that bigfoot was responsible.
Some of those people were serious too.
If you want to give the left and argument to point and laugh at the right, keep up this insanity.
“As a magic expert, theyll probably say its a witch on a broomstick.”
WRONG!!!! It’s a ‘Class V Ectoplasmic Event’. Geez! Get it right Dude!
Just my opinion but—
If someone said that North Korea was showing off a slow moving two-stager fired from a sub in US waters, OK. “Wow. Those funky North Koreans are closer in than we might have thought.” But why would China do it? China has ICBMs. China firing this thing wouldn’t intimidate anyone, it would just be pathetic.
I was really heartened to see this article until I went back and saw that it was WND. That pretty much relegates this to conspiracy nut status.
I'm certainly no expert, but I can't figure any way that the video is of the contrail of a jet. No way.
>> Everyone is seeing their own specialty.
It’s like when you get your new car, suddenly so many others are driving the same model.
ATC doesn’t usually go ape about known aircraft. Nobody that night reported it. Odd, eh? No other pilots. Nobody on the ground heard the thunder a 30-40 mile away supersonic rocket would cause.
We’ve seen endless other pictures of nearly identical contrails and so on though. Hmm, which could it be..
I watched the video. It looked too slow to be a missile and much more likely to be an airplane.
Remember the old detective’s axiom when they’re trying to figure out who did something: look for means, motive, and opportunity. China probably has the means and opportunity to launch a missile, but they have no rational motive. It would have been extremely dangerous to launch a missile so close to our shores, which could possibly have been viewed as a nuclear attack and would have left us with almost no time to decide how to respond. China has no motive to do that and every reason not to. There are all kinds of other things they could do to send a message to us that don’t risk a nuclear war. There’s no rational motive for China or Russia to launch a missile so close to LA. The missile theory amounts to saying that the leaders of China or Russia have gone completely insane. I strongly doubt that.
You should send your resume to Farah. He can always use more people with your level of acumen at World Nut Daily.
Predictable number of smart alecks on the thread, aren’t there? The Whitey tapes are the only thing I can remember recently (birth cert aside) where freepers have become so vicious toward one another over something.
I keep reading the contrail threads because it’s an intriguing event -but it’s infuriating to have to read through sooo many you’re dumb-no-YOU’re-dumb posts before finding one worth reading!
Thanks for posting this- interesting take- in spite of Farah’s mixed record on accuracy/facts.
I’m not sure what it was- but no one has proven it was a plane or a missle...yet :)
wnd would not be my choice for a source. I completely lost faith in them in the late 90’s with their hype and sensationalist reporting. They always come up with ‘information’ that no one else has...and it is never proven. OK City did it for me.
No offense CG
Exactly. It’s hard to be sure from the still photos. But the video clearly shows a missile, to my eye.
I’m not an expert on ICBMs, but I did put in a couple of years out at McGregor Range, New Mexico, north of Fort Bliss, where the army regularly used to test Nike and Hawk missiles.
I was a Hawk pulse acquisition radar repairman.
bfl
What? I could clearly read Chinese characters on the side of the missle.
Roughly translated, it said, "Eat My Shorts, American Dog"
On the contrary. Several times, Chinese subs have surfaced right in the middle of our fleets. Once was toward the end of Bush’s term. And we did nothing.
Yep, that's kind of my take on it. Don't really know. What I DO know is that I don't trust this Obama administration as far as I can throw it. If they claim one thing I generally run 180 degrees the opposite direction to find the real truth.
None taken :)
How do you know? It’s been shown that rader was ‘normal’ with documented planes that fit the profile. What more do you want?
If it was a ChiCom sub that launched the missile, why wouldn’t it be construed as an aggressive act and possible precursor to an attack.
I know we have the capability to find and sink submarines. There are probably 1 or 2 squadrons of P3Cs in the SoCal area and only the Navy knows how many attack boats between SoCal and Hawaii.
Why didn’t they sink the sub that fired the missile? Maybe they did?
