The ratings are in, and it looks like “Sarah Palin’s Alaska” is a hit. TLC says nearly 5 million total viewers tuned in to the premiere of the series.

In case you haven’t seen our previous coverage, “Sarah Palin’s Alaska” is a documentary series from producer Mark Burnett and starring former Alaska governor and Fox News Channel contributor Sarah Palin.

TLC says 4.96 million total viewers tuned in, including 1.8 million adults 25-54, and 1.6 million adults 18-49, two of the network’s key demos. That is the best premiere in network history with regards to total viewers, beating the 2003 debut of “What Not to Wear.”

If you get cable, the show is replaying all this week on TLC (channel 280 in DirecTV) in the same general time slots: 9/8 Central etc.

This will drive the left nuts.

Maybe Soros will throw another million to Media Matters/ Move ON/ Huffington Post/NPR - for anti-Palin media blitz.

"You were right, just like the Osbournes......"

No my FReind. You were the one saying that I was comparing it to "The Osbournes". It is EXACTLY what I thought it would be - a reality show focusing on Sarah Palin's family and friends as she does "outdoorsy" things on camera. To describe it as a "travel show" or "documentary" is absurd. It's not. It's a reality show.

No, you pushed multiple countless threads on how it was going to be like the Osbournes. Along with other threads on what white trash she was when she was in Hollywood.

I saw it, it's half about her family's trips, and half about the beauty and majesty of Alaska, and it's done fairly well.

Your take was horrendously wrong and quite embarrassing as it turns out, but you won't own up to it.

Is your memory as bad as your posting history on her?

Nope. My memory is perfect. I've never called anyone "white trash", let alone Palin. It IS a reality show, no matter how much you wish it not to be.

Marlin Perkins hosted an outdoor, adventure/travel show. Never did I see Marlin Perkins cooking in his home kitchen, talking about his neighbors, just saying.

My husband and I watched it. We thought it was excellent. What a great family. Alaska is a beautiful state.

McGuiness sued to have the parts about him removed, TLC refused, and he was featured last night...ROFL.

That was almost my favorite part of the show. Another slimy lib-tard who went up against Palin and promptly got his ass handed to him. We'll add him to the list.

No, you just agreed with the articles implying that. Plus you did post a bunch of them, snidely I might add......

You lie as badly as your memory is poor.

You would have had to been a absolute airplane head to notice.

Their was about 4 seaplanes used and what they got in and out of was not sequenced or they used what they thought was better flim. My guess is at aleast one was a chase plane, but I noticed 4 different aircraft.

1.) A Beaver on Floats, Pratt Powered.
2.) A Turboprop Otter.
3.) An airshot noting the typical constant-chord / tapered chord Cessna wing.
4.) A Cessna ( Turbprop ) Caravan on Floats.

They are being treated like the first family.

We don’t know if she will run.

We don’t know if she is “electable”.

We do know she’s a big draw, read high ratings/ makes money for media.

We do know she’s influential, 70% plus success on political endorsements (even without Joe Miller).

Hulu usually gets stuff before other online places. Here's the TLC site.

I think NCIS was on at 9pm too.

NCIS is on Tues at 8.

I think the numbers would have been a lot higher, but 1) people know it will be rebroadcast a couple of hours later, 2) It's a show that you can get 'On Demand', which means that some people will watch a show that is not aired a few hours later, or available 'On Demand', first and then catch her show later.
