To make any accurate guess, one would have to know how far away it was. If it was locally and just above the apparent haze, then its speed could be accepted.

If it was really, rally high and again observed thru the haze then I would believe it to be a meteor streaking across the sky.......

Somebody had to have been directly underneath it and saw it for what it really was. And since they haven't come forward it's probably due to the fact that it was a normal occuring aircraft.......

Someone else made a similar observation. It is also possible that the news chopper was moving giving the object an appearance of high speed.
