I was against this guy from day one. I saw him for what he is. He must be removed from his position, the sooner the better. It looks like we will have to wait until 2013 to do so, if we are fortunate.

Perhaps a year or so after he became SecDef, I saw a copy of secret decision briefing given him. It laid out the options, explained the pros and cons, and left him to decide. About a month later, I watched him publicly blame the military for carrying out his decision, and blasting us for not ‘caring enough’ about our fellow soldiers and marines.
I’ve despised this buttboy ever since. I will lay claim to being one of the first on FR to loathe him, but then, I saw the classified briefing so I knew what happened behind the scenes. All I could do in public was warn FReepers that Gates is a liar.
I think Gates may be trying to further the damage done to the left, the further they go to the left, the further the pendulum will swing back to the right next cycle. In 2012 the leftists will all get run out of town on a rail. (I hope)
