MSNBC's Maddow Defends Olbermann: "We Should Have Keith Back"
Real Clear Politics ^ | 11/6/10

Posted on 11/06/2010 7:20:20 AM PDT by truthandlife

Keith is a liberal, so am I. There are other people on this network whose political views are shared openly with our viewers. We are not a political operation. FOX is. We are a news operation. The rules around here are part how you know. Keith Olbermann attracted the ire of the right-wing and raged against what he saw as the errors and sins of the previous administration. Keith was also the one who brought to light FOX News' water-carrying role for the Bush administration," Rachel Maddow said in defense of her MSNBC colleague on her show Friday night.

The mad cow needs to shut up. She doesn’t get to dictate policy. They should start examining her contributions.

” We are not a political operation. FOX is. “

Repeat a lie often enough and long enough....

I’m no fan of Olbermann, but IMHO, Maddow did far worse than Olbermann when she accused a GOP Congressman of having advance warning of the Oklahoma City bombing.

Of course, she later “apologized” for a “making a mistake” in the facts (the Congressman in question was faxed info about an hour after the attack, and promptly sent it to the FBI). But it seemed pretty obvious to me it was an intentional and deliberate smear.

And now you're into stand-up comedy too?

Send a note to Comcast, the soon-to-be new owner of MSNBC issuing your support for Olbermann’s suspension:

Wah, wah, wah. Somebody call the waaaaahmbulance. Fox is not a political operation. I can't stand watching Shep, Whoraldo, etc. Fox is more Conservative but still has Liberals on their own shows. More importantly they REPORT BOTH SIDES of an issue. More people are coming over to Fox because of that fact. My Leftist relatives don't know the bumbling 3/4 of Obama’s performances because the news they watch only shows him when he looks Presidential.

Rachel (Frank) Maddow:

If you guys over there at MSNBS had viewers, you'd be able to do anything you wanted. You don't so you cant. Nothing personal, just business

Sorry, I blew chunks after “I’m a liberal’ and “we’re not a political operation.” This man dyke thing mutant is seriously deranged. Who would even say that? Really, you’ve got to be retarded.

I think newscaster/reporte/analyst should be allowed to make prolitcal contributions to candidates as long as the overtly disclose who they are contributing to. And I mean overtly in the strongest sense. That is, every time they appear on a show they need to identify who they contribute to (either verbally of by a crawler).

I have often heard reporters on CNBC refer to GE as the parent company of their network and I've often heard reporters on Fox News/Business News refer to Newscorp as the parent company of this network. The same sort of disclosure needs to happen if newscaster/reporters or analysts are allowed to contribute to political candidates.

” We are not a political operation. FOX is. “

Rachel, Rachel, FOX was created in response to the rest of the media which is VERY liberal. I know you think you are the normal ones but you are not.

I almost never watch FOX anymore because it is not conservative enough. (Since it is the only news on the conservative side, I think it should be at least as conservative as the rest are liberal.)

Frankly I don’t think “MSNBC” should be used. A more appropriate “MicrosoftNBC” should be used. Perhaps Microsoft won’t like the clear connection to it and Bill Gates and will act on their monster child.

Alan Grayson to replace Olberman?

In a phantasy world and I was in a room with these two and was told that I could take one out I don’t know if I could come to that conclusion.

Do I take out the snarky long neck’d dike or the deranged phycotic Keith.

Just think people, that if you would just change your thinking you could sign a contract for >$8MM. The job is so simple: just provide the talking points of Soro’s and the White House with a nice suit and you are golden.

” I almost never watch FOX anymore “

I haven’t watched FNC since they used their muscle to make the ‘live-stream’ sites stop streaming their programming (over a year ago)....

Haven’t particularly missed it....
