On Friday’s “Morning Joe” MSNBC host Lawrence O’Donnell made a startling admission: “I am a socialist.”
The statement from the regular host of “The Last Word” came as he was chiding contributor Glenn Greenwald from Salon.com for apparently being a liberal hiding behind the word “progressive.”
“I am a socialist. I live to the extreme left, the extreme left of you mere liberals,” he said:

What a great week this has been: election victory, Olberman segmenting himself on Worst person in the world, and now an admission of the obvious.
Like someone said on another thread, it’s time we start calling “Progressives” what they really are: Oppressives.
He does not use the word but Lawrence O’Donnell admits to being a fascist, a statist, one who would impose his preferences upon his own countrymen at the point of a gun. He is a fascist.
Any of PMSNBC’s 2 viewers who hadn’t figured out that ALL the talking heads over there were socialists are too stupid to be at large in the general population.
Of course, they had already proven their stupidity by WATCHING PMSNBC in the first place.

Actually, if you can stomach the videos, O’Donnell is making some pretty good points and is being pretty honest.
He admits to being a socialist, and basically says most Americans just flat out disagree with him. He points out that only 38% think government should be bigger and do more.
Where he really gets it wrong, along with the guy he’s arguing with, is on the public option polling. While it is true that the public option did poll well so long as it was only referred to as a “public option”, the GOP would never have allowed that characterization to stand. Republicans were fully prepared to call it the “government option”, and polling already indicated that to be about as popular as a bad case of hemorrhoids.
But give O’Donnell credit for at least being honest about his radical left beliefs. Most socialists try to mask what they really are by calling themselves “progressive”, “green”, etc, etc.

If he’s a socialist, how come he’s wealthy?
Shouldn’t he be giving to those in need. Spread the wealth.
