You know liberals are not having an awesome election when they're celebrating losing the House but saving Harry Reid. (Liberals just couldn't afford losing their rock star bubbling with charisma.)

Despite the euphoria of keeping Harry Reid, liberals still fear Rand Paul possibly forcing the entire Senate to kneel before a false idol instead of B. Hussein Obama.

With any luck, liberals' inordinate fear of Aqua Buddhism being on the march in the Senate will convince Harry Reid to stay home cowering while we repeal ObamaCare.

Say, what is all this irrational liberal fear of Aqua Buddha, anyway? Part of the reason that facts and science and argument don't seem to be winning the day is because libbies are hard-wired not to always think clearly when they're scared of inanimate objects, like guns. (In fairness, liberals only fear guns in the wrong hands -- law-abiding citizens.)

While we're on the subject of delusion, Democrats insist they lost 64 House seats, six (maybe 7) Senate seats, 682 legislative seats, 19 state legislatures, 8 governors, 17 of 26 races for state secretary of state and over half the races for state attorney general . . . because of a failure to communicate. After 500 million speeches, voters were not aware of the Democrats' deeply unpopular "achievements".

Speaking for the calm, low-key, moderate and temperate wing of the Democrat Party, Rep. Alan Grayson complained that Democrats were booted because they weren't more like Alan Grayson who's careful never to say anything sane. And careful never to run a truthful ad. Grayson referred to his Republican challenger affectionately as "Taliban Dan," who returned the favor on Tuesday by trouncing Grayson. (Grayson is so vile and hideous, he appears on MSNBC regularly.)

During his not-mea-culpa presser Wednesday, Obama insisted he took a shellacking because people don't feel the progress of his failed policies yet. (I shook my Slurpee in anger at the TV!)

With the jobless rate stuck at over 9.4% for 19 months (Bush did it), zillions of foreclosures (Bush) and mountains of debt piling up on Obama's watch (Bush), you might not have noticed all the progress, such as __________. And don't forget ________________!

After bailing out Wall Street, burning through a trillion 'stimulus' bucks, nationalizing banks, health care and the car industry, Obama blames the wrong decisions he 'had to' make on his predecessor. At his presser, Obama sounded so delusional (more than usual), the wonder was the press chaps' strange intent on getting an 'explanation' for Tuesday from him. You don't go to Alan Grayson for sound campaign advice and you don't go to Obama to explain Republican tsunamis. (Unless you're the media.) Anyone thinking the historic creaming the Democrats got at the ballot box was because voters just wanna tweak ObamaCare is in the middle of De Nile without a paddle.

Obama fancies himself a "transformational" leader, and indeed he's transformed the Democrat House into a Republican House so nicely and just in time for post-census redistricting which should lock the Democrats safely out of a majority for at least a decade. And if that's not change you can believe in . . .

Anyway, that's...
My Two Cents...

I didn’t know what to think after 2008. The voters didn’t realize that after Joe the plumber, that Obama really was interested in spreading the wealth around? Didn’t it imply that Americans gave up on capitalism and were ready to embrace a new socialist country?
The problem was that Republicans such as DeLay, Bush and McCain didn’t quite the make the case for free markets and limited government either. Obama wins the debate by default.

The tea party came along and said “forget about what those republicans did. That’s not what we believe. This is the constitution, this is what it says and this is what we are for and will fight for.” Americans needed to be educated by the tea party because many of them forgot what this country was founded on and needed someone to remind them.

The next time a Dem talks about how extending the tax rates on the “rich” will “cost” $70B/yr and the country can’t afford it, I’d like them to answer why the country can “afford” half the country paying ZERO income taxes.

It is so petty, dishonest, and self-serving for anybody to call a 40% tax rate on one group of people fair but a 10% tax rate on another group unfair. Sometimes I think people are actually ignorant that a 10% flat income tax would raise almost EXACTLY the same tax revenue.

With spending and deficits on everyone’s minds right now, I wonder if Constitutional Amendments could be pushed through as this point ? The President doesn’t have any say in the Amendment process. He can’t veto it.

It just takes 2/3rds of Congress and the legislatures of 38 states to ratify. The Balanced Budget Amendment, and the Federal Spending Limit of 20% of GDP are both Amendments that would solve a lot of problems. The GOP now controls 34 governorships and 55 state legislature chambers. And the public’s attention is now focused on Congress and spending, so getting enough Dems there to satisfy the 2/3rd requirement might be possible.

Great...as always!

Most hilarious line for me: “....libbies are hard-wired not to always think clearly when they’re scared of inanimate objects, like guns. (In fairness, liberals only fear guns in the wrong hands — law-abiding citizens.)”

The line that reminds me that true justice is from God: “...he’s transformed the Democrat House into a Republican House so nicely and just in time for post-census redistricting which should lock the Democrats safely out of a majority for at least a decade.”

Transformers, wasn't that a Saturday morning cartoon show? I sense a parallel.

Michelle missed the point of that particular initiative. Oregon passes a similar initiative by landslide margins.

This initiative lost because opponents explained that it would stand as passed for two years only...and that it was just a matter of time before Olympia lowered the income level subject to tax because they "needed" the money.

Dang you're good, JH2!

I'm sorely limited on time that I can spend on FR for a while longer, but I must say... I think the Commies in Congress (and the Head-Red in the Whitehouse) know their time is very short now...

Their plans are falling apart, their popularity is severely limited to the brain-dead concentrated in a few states, and the American people have just begun to come after them.

I can hardly wait until the next election - that could toss this president (and most of the Reds in Congress) out of office and onto the ash-heap of failed socialist history.

But, watch for it... the Commies may start a world war - and claim the country can't endure an election - in a last-ditch attempt to hold onto their power a little longer.
