In letter to Ranking Member Ryan, CBO highlights the latest health care broken promise .
WASHINGTON In response to a request from House Budget Committee Ranking Republican Paul Ryan of Wisconsin, the Congressional Budget Office [CBO] confirmed that President Obamas massive health care law will increase prescription drug prices. The CBO confirms the range of onerous restrictions and requirements will drive health care costs up, at odds with the claims made by its proponents. CBOs letter specifies that manufacturers will have an incentive to raise drug prices and that, as a result, health care costs will increase for some seniors and for those who are uninsured.
In response to the findings, Ranking Member Ryan issued the following statement:
On Tuesday, the American electorate forcefully repudiated President Obamas agenda, including his massive health care overhaul. Today, the Congressional Budget Office refuted President Obamas claims, making clear that his policies will drive health care costs up, not down. Especially troubling for many seniors is the news that their prescription drug costs and premiums will increase as a result of this legislation.

The One cut a deal with the drug companies so they wouldn’t oppose his healthcare bill....at our expense of course.
Now there’s a real shocker.
Its the goal of the gubmit/insurance industry to take 20% of everyone income to fund health care - on top on what we already pay in taxes.
State controlled industry: Socialism. And as it’s forced on an unwilling citizenry: fascism! Share the wealth: Marxism! Liberation theology, economic justice: Racism! Strong one man/one party control: Dictatorial/totalitarianism, tyranny! National socialism! Think I’ve heard this story before.
In January the new Republican House needs to call out these cons by use of investigations.
Bump
No really ?
Not really news. Drugs that you can get at Walmart for $5 five years after their introduction will now be patent protected for 12 years under Obamacare. The pharmaceutical industry will make billions off this legislation.
On 1-1-2011, 15,000 Over The Counter drugs we get anywhere we want will have to have a doctor’s prescription before you can get reimbursed by your insurance company.
That means getting yourself an appointment with the doctor & taking time off from work to go to the doc’s office to get the prescription.
I predict that many will continue to use OTC drugs & not ask for the insurance reimbursement.
Either way, it is more tampering with the American health care system that we don’t need.
Go get ‘em, Paul.
This man is the ONLY one that took Obama head on in the limited discussions he allowed them to particpate in over HC. I’d trust Ryan’s numbers and understanding of it’s impacts over that poseur anyday. Repeal, defund or otherwise kill that bill.
This garbage legislation needs a stake driven through its heart.
Every prescription increase... Every premium hike... Every loss of coverage... Every denial of care... Every regulation hoop... Everything will be blamed on Obama and the Dems.
This bill will haunt them for years to come.
Ryan was the star at that health care summit between the Democrats and the GOP. Obama was reduced to cutting the Republicans time and saying “I’m the President. Equal time doesn’t apply to me.”
I saw something shared on Facebook this afternoon, AARP sez the same thing.
One by one. Each and every single negative prediction made by anyone with a brain in his or her head has come true about 0bamacare. It ain’t one tenth over.
It was also "unexpected"..
Yes, Paul Ryan is a young gun who is not afraid of Obama and won’t back down.
Coming from an “enlightened” country where we have been subjected to the wrath of socialized medicine I am absolutely shocked :)
