Obama drops plan to limit global warming gases (BS! Obama will double-down on this scam)

Environmental groups and industry seem headed for another battle over regulation of greenhouse gases, as President Barack Obama said he will look for ways to control global warming pollution other than Congress placing a ceiling on it.

"Cap-and-trade was just one way of skinning the cat; it was not the only way," Obama said at a news conference Wednesday, a day after Democrats lost control of the House. "I'm going to be looking for other means to address this problem."

Legislation putting a limit on heat-trapping greenhouse gases and then allowing companies to buy and sell pollution permits under that ceiling narrowly passed the House in 2009 as a centerpiece of Obama's domestic agenda, but it stalled in the Senate.

Republicans dubbed the bill "cap-and-tax" because it would raise energy prices. They then used it as a club in the midterm elections against Democrats who voted for it. Thirty of the bill's supporters were among some 50 House Democrats whom voters turned out of office Tuesday.

Its DOA... and the GOP will attach a rider to a budget bill prohibiting the EPA from imposing cap and trade by fiat.

Obummer will find his ability to pursue his agenda in defiance of the American people’s wishes increasingly hamstrung by Congress.

“I’m going to be looking for other means to address this problem.”

Meaning he’ll try EPA regulation as an end-around to Congress. He clearly doesn’t “get it” (or perhaps he does and is simply scrambling to get as much of his progressive agenda in place as possible before being ousted in 2012). He thinks messaging is the problem, or dumb voters, or stubborn Republicans. Thus, “enlightened” elites have to do what it takes to give the people what they need even if they’re too ignorant to recognize their own self-interest.

A whole bunch of Dems learned that Obama doesn’t give a damn about them. They paid the price for following the command of a dictator rather than the people they represent.

I hope you're right but there's still enough RINOs in congress that help Obummer out.

The Kenyan is trying to accomplish within the parameters of a still Republican state what generally takes a violent revolution and slaughter of recalcitrants. He does not have access to such methods at the moment.

The Repubs need to investigate, investigate and investigate. Call these faceless bureaucrats to hearings, subpoena their notes and defund al;l these anti-freedom programs...stop this madness.

Patent 6904336 on Carbon Credits is secretly held by Fannie Mae and the DNC.
Don't wait up waiting for the MSM to report it
because David Gregory's wife (NBC) is their lawyer.

Investigations, subpoenas, and hearings will make Republicans seem petty and vengeful. Voters will be angry. Bad idea, in the long run.

In a rambling dissembling response to whether he would allow the EPA to back door cap and trade, it was clear the answer was YES.

The LIB voters are always angry...sort of like mooslims. Who cares? They will never vote for Conservatives anyway. Anger is their honey. Toughen up. In the long run getting to the truth is what matters...not the feelings of the liberal freaks. Anyway...what is wrong with “vengeful”...isn’t that a codeword for the often used LIB descriptor “mean-spirited” (which they use whenever someone disagrees with their anti-American ideas)? Pox on them. As nobama said “We won!”

The only difference now is that the EPA will strangle the economy but the Dem supporters won’t profit from the trade.

At least Al Goracle won’t be lining his pockets with our money....what little we will have.
