That seemed to be President Oba ma's reaction yesterday to the stun ning rout his party suffered Tuesday -- when voters sent Democrats packing by the truckload, handing the House to the GOP. And nearly the Senate as well.

Memo to POTUS: Pretending nothing happened won't erase Tuesday's results.

We have not worked for two years to tinker around with this mess.We have not sent the Republicans to ‘Get something done’. We have sent them to get a whole bunch of things ‘undone’.

I believe that this word is deliberately chosen for its low impact–I believe that the lower-level Democratic voters, wink, wink, will not understand what it means and so therefore it is the least humiliating word with the lowest impact among his fans for admitting defeat, and that is why it was very carefully chosen for him and he is using it.

“shellacking.”

It’s his pride. He won’t admit that he’s wrong because it’s attached to so much large scale, long lived destruction when he won’t even take responsibility for his presidential seal falling off the podium.

Great insight. You know they discussed this and thought about it a lot. Your logic sounds exactly like what their's must have been.

“Some election nights are more fun than others” — Baraq Hussein 0bama
Why am I not surprised that this man sees the governing of our nation as a game?

It was the news conference version of a final exam essay - the BS essay that contains a gazillion rambling words that - by design - never answer the question. Typical. FAIL.

Obama bamboozled millions... gave us the old 'okee doke.'

This guy is a narcissist, who in truth, feels nothing for anyone. He is just about 'words' and the drones will willingly follow him over a cliff.

obama

His arrogance is what did him in. He and his minions demeaned honest citizens from the first minute they had the gall to ask questions about his agenda. How dare they speak out against his brilliant course of action. He allowed Pelosi and Reid and their ilk to denigrate anyone who asked valid questions, calling them brown shirts and other vile names. Or trashing their personal life, like Joe the Plumber.

We were too stupid to be told what was in the Health Care Monstrosity, Pelosi said we’d find out after it was passed. The sheer gall of these people is unending, and hopefully this election is only the beginning of a thorough housecleaning in DC and elsewhere.

Well, the problem is that a week in the hospital totally messed up my sleep schedule.

You know, the hospital-—the last place in the world to get any rest.

Which is why I bekieve that Boehner is a poor choice for Speaker.

He is one of the old, beat-down, too long in the minority, quick-to-compromise, type of Republicans.

My brother, who is (was?) a huge lib and I talked today a bit on the phone (we usually don’t talk).

He told me he voted R here in Illinois. Straight ticket. First time ever.

He explained why.

He thought Obama was offering hope. He wanted to end racism. He thought he could do that. He now thinks Obama has made it worse, and panders to race. He feels he is no better than Jesse or Rev Al.

Obama promised to work WITH republicans to solve problems. He said he voted for Obama because he was sick of the fighting that went on.

Obama promised to be open, and no more secrets. He said he hated BushCo (his words) because they were the most secretive organization in the world. He now thinks Obama has made Bushes secrets and back room deals look minor.

Obama promised healthcare that would be cheaper and fairer. He has seen his rates go up 40%, and thinks his company will now drop private insurance.

He thought BushCo was the puppet of big business. He says he now realized from all he has read, that Obama has gotten more kickbacks, and given out more money to big biz than Bush x10.

He said Obama promised to be out of Iraq, solve Afghanistan, and deal with Iran. He said cowboy politics were not working. He now wishes there was a cowboy in the white house, but maybe not Bush. He said Afghanistan is a mess, and the media is covering it up. He said we are wasting trillions there when it could be spent on schools (he is still a lib mind you).

All in all, he feels betrayed. My observation is this, you can only truly HATE those you loved. And for folks like my brother, they LOVED Obama. I think this is the start of the hate. Not dislike, but serious HATE beyond what they felt for Bush. I predict by 2012, the media will have turned on him something fierce, as will those who voted for him. Heck, I bet even Mooshelle divorces his ass and gets a tell all book deal. It wouldn’t surprise me.

When you love someone based on lies, there can only be one predictable ending. A nasty nasty break up.

For me the first jaw-dropper of that press conference was when he said (paraphrase)”People mistook our spending more as if it were a policy decision and not just a temporary measure.” Oh, how stupid of us, to think spending nearly a trillion dollars was SPENDING!

He truly does think we’re morons, and if he just rephrases things and uses the Jedi mind trick, we’ll just believe anything he says.

And by the way, said the prez, let's not "spend the next two years re-fighting the political battles of the last two."

Interesting comment from someone who is still re-fighting the political battles of the last 10 years.
