Buck-Bennet Race Still Very Close

DENVER (CBS4) ― Colorado's U.S. Senate race remains a toss up. Democratic Sen. Michael Bennet currently leads Republican Ken Buck by about 7,000 votes with 87 percent of precincts reporting.

More than 1.6 million ballots have been counted in the race.

Some projections showed the race could end up within half of 1 percentage point, which would trigger an automatic recount under Colorado law. Both Democrats and Republicans said last week they'd be ready for a possible recount.

Buck has a good chance to win. It may take another week to count all the votes the first time, and then a recount will probably follow.

The Denver Post website is reporting a 15,000 vote lead for Bennet. Buck should concede. The election is over.

Any problems with power outages or computer cliches last night?

“Any problems with power outages or computer cliches last night?”

There was a strange problem in Boulder County returns. With about 50 percent of precincts reporting, Boulder County noticed a reporting error. 40,000 votes were subtracted from Buck and added to Bennet.

We all know that the Denver Post doesn't have an agenda. /s

Arapahoe County alone has nearly 40,000 ballots that have yet to be counted. We can wait until they are done.

I noticed how they waited to count the ballots in Denver and Bounder at the end to see how many fraudulent ballots they needed to put Bennet over the top.

Any reason he should concede before all the votes are counted? I don’t think so...

It’s the recounts where the Dems are really expert at stealing elections and have mastered all of the skills of the fine art of vote theft.

It’s despicable the way people in government who are paid by the taxpayers to ensure fair elections then turn around and commit brazen vote fraud and theft. I’m sure there’s been vote fraud in America somewhere in every national election since 1776, but today it appears to be more widespread and brazen. The only way to catch these election workers is for one or more of them to flip and testify against the others in court, but I can’t recall that every happening (yet).

Channel 4 Denver announced that Bennet just declared "victory"...

...looking for a bag to throw up in...

Why prolong the agony? I am not sure if Buck has won more votes in Arapahoe county than Bennet. Arapahoe county votes will not rescue Buck. He ran a poor campaign losing to a terrible rat candidate. If Buck had run against a good rat candidate, he would have lost by 10 points.

It is not a big issue. If Buck feels there is still a chance for victory, he should obviously wait for the votes to be counted. I do not like sore losers and hopeless causes.

In any battle one army can “declare victory” at any time, but it’s not over until the other side gives up and stops shooting. So I suggest that Buck reload, keep firing, don’t concede, and try to catch the Rats cheating somewhere in the recount.

State has automatic recount laws so a consession does not end it.

I think Buck’s problem is the same problem McCain had two years ago: too many democrats have moved into affluent areas of Colorado from the west coast and liberal areas of the midwest. Colorado is now a perpetual battleground state like Wisconsin and Ohio.

They gave up counting in Arapahoe County in the wee hours and went home. That trends Republican. Also, I've heard the military hasn't been counted. So, it's bad Buck is down but we need to wait and see.
