If the people say they are mostly voting on tax issues in Barney Frank’s district.....I would say Barney is in deep caca (in more ways than one).

Hard to tell what this means for the race. I’m also hearing about very high turnout in SC5, but it’s hard to say who it is turning out. Pollsters were saying low turnout favors the GOP even more heavily.

This post made me a little nervous, but then I went to the source article and read the comments - WOW, the people there are PISSED, and the pro-republican comments look like 9-1 or more. The anti-republican (misspelled usually) comments are immediately ‘refudiated’ by lots of replies.
Sorry Charlie, looks like you might be doing DOWN!!

So this could mean one of 2 things:
1: The dems are really scared their nancy-boy will lose and have rushed to the polls.
2: The conservatives believe they have a real shot at taking him out and have stormed the gates.

High turnout in Barney Frank’s district?
Either they’re coming out of the woodwork or they’re coming out of the closet!

Newton is Barney's hometown and one of the most liberal town in the state so it could be that the high turnout there is due to liberals coming out in force to "save" Barney. The demographics in Newton is mostly white-collar and the trust-fund set.
North Attleboro is a different story. This is a gritty working class town. While they tend to vote Democratic, I just can't see them coming out in force to vote for Barney Frank. Sean Bielat has run a very strong campaign and his working class, Marine Corps background has much more appeal to the average working Joe than Barney Frank.
So outside of maybe Newton and Brookline, high turnout in Barney's district is a good sign. Actually Brookline is Sean Bielat's hometown so that might be a wash, favoring Bielat overall.

Big turnout in Newton (and Brookline) is bad for us; we need the rest of the district to have a huge turnout.

obvious question is, how does this compare with turnout in the Brown special, where Brown won this CD?
