Angle campaign attorney: Reid “intends to steal this election if he can’t win it outright”
Las Vegas Sun ^ | 10/26/10 | Jon Ralston

Posted on 10/27/2010 2:49:23 PM PDT by Mozilla

So says Cleta Mitchell, the same woman who tried to get Scott Ashjian, the Tea Party of Nevada candidate out of the race, in an astonishing fundraising letter:

As Sharron Angle's campaign attorney, I am sorry to report that the Democrats and their cronies are up to their same old tricks, of trying to manipulate the election in hopes of skewing the results in their favor.

Two days ago, the Democratic Secretary of State announced that voters can be provided "free food" at "voter turnout events." Harry Reid has been offering free food and, according to other reports, some Democratic allies such as teachers' unions are offering gift cards in return for a vote for Reid.

Harry Reid intends to steal this election if he can't win it outright. As a result, we need to deploy literally dozens of election law attorneys and poll watchers to combat these tactics at a cost of nearly $80,000. That's over and above our current budget. We need to raise $80,000 and we need to do it RIGHT NOW, because even as I am writing this, Harry Reid and his Machine are trying to steal this election. I'm sorry that we have to come to you yet again and ask for you to reach deep and contribute, but we must.

Understand, EVERYTHING we have worked for in the last year could be destroyed by dirty tricks and criminal acts in the next 8 days. As Sharron's first line of defense on these matters I am absolutely committed to making sure this won't happen.

“free food” at “voter turnout events.”

...unreal. This does seem to appeal to the kinds of people that would’ve voted for Reid anyway. I guess this gets them out of the house and into the voting booth.

Darned right. People going to a Reid event and eating. I don’t think we had their votes anyway, but has anyone gotten anything on that rumor about the ground glass in the food at the Reid events?

Cleta is right. Glad she’s on the job. She is a top-flight attorney and one of the original founders of the term limits movement. If anyone can keep SEIU and their ilk from stealing this election, it is this tough lady.

Could work both ways, though: Angle has enough money to provide free beer in every union hall and free arugula in every college dining hall in the state. And two bottles of Thunderbird per street person.

I think it very possible that if Reid is strongly suspected of Vote Fraud, he will be removed from office with extreme prejudice by some nut job. Once the democrat mask comes off fully, all bets are off as well.

Better to retire gracefully and live offshore near your ill-gotten gain.

Daley Sr. was known to have open bars and free cigars at polling places, when the polling places were in the aldermans basement. Of course, the alderman had to “help” you vote.

His kid the current mayor, was known for booze busses, that had smokes. They’d drive around, have beer and wine in the back for the hobos, and take them to vote.

Now, they don’t need all that. We have motor voter in Illinois. The illegal vote compensates and is less visible.

Why hasn’t the republican party gotten angry over the voting irregularities?

People are monitoring this election process on an hourly basis. (Well some are : ) ) If there is proven widespread voter fraud, people are going to go absolutely ballistic. People have had it up to here, are Mad as Hell, etc. I honestly hope the dems don’t “push it”, but they probably will. Tread if you must dems, but don’t be surprised if all hell breaks loose. . .
