CIUDAD JUAREZ, Mexico (AP) — Gunmen stormed two neighboring homes and massacred 13 young people at a birthday party in the latest large-scale attack in this violent border city, even as a new government strategy seeks to restore order with social programs and massive police deployments.

Attackers in two vehicles pulled up to the houses in a lower-middle-class Ciudad Juarez neighborhood late Friday and opened fire on about four dozen partygoers gathered for a 15-year-old boy's birthday party.

... thanks to the War On (some) Drugs. Those folks wanted a war, and now they've got one. Congrats!

That country is messed up. We need a 200 foot wall, with armed guard towers every 2000 feet.

And yet we are told by the MSM and the PC crowd that it’s tremendous for the diversity of this country to have people from this country infiltrating our society and culture.

I live in the Los Angeles area.

If you have never been to the innards of this city, then, you cannot comprehend the damage that will done as they spread their culture (they will not adopt ours) across the country.

Rabbits are jealous of their ability to reproduce.

I live in S.E. Los Angeles County, and my local Wal-Mart is always crowded with people speaking nothing but Spanish. Families with lots of young children.

I wouldn’t go to a party of any kind in Mexico. Hell, I wouldn’t go to Mexico.

Gangsters Al Capone or the worst of the Prohibition gangsters wouldn’t associate with. Hell those guys at least had some sense of honor.

These are problems that will easily spill across a leaky border.

Do they do this kind of thing to innocent people or were the party-goers doing business with the cartel?

Whatever the answer, it seems that Mexicans are quite capable of senseless violence on a large scale; why the government isn’t concerned about them being in our country, I don’t know.

“One survivor of Friday’s massacre said the birthday boy’s mother had decided to hold the party at their home, precisely because she thought it was safer. The party spilled over into the neighboring home.

The 16-year-old boy, who did not want to be identified, said an attacker entered one of the homes and asked partygoers about a car parked in front of the home, suggesting the killers may have been following the vehicle. He survived the attack by throwing himself to the floor and other partygoers fell on top of him, shielding him from the bullets.

The survivor said the gunman he saw appeared to be about 20, wearing a baseball cap and carrying a pistol, and simply opened fire after no one answered his questions.”

From BorderlandBeat.com:

Neighbors and survivors said that three minutes after the slaughter occurred federal agents on patrol drove by the house and that, in spite of the screams for them to stop, they continued on their way and returned to the crime scene almost half an hour later.

They also commented that, given the lateness of the paramedics in arriving to render aid, many inhabitants of the area took the injured in private vehicles to the IMSS (public health) hospital #66.

Well, at least they didn’t chop their heads off and then dump them in the middle of the dance floor at the local disco like they did a couple of years back. Things are improving.

we went there a couple of times...the last time was with friends attending the Sun Bowl....going over the border on the bus tour is one of the many outings football fans do...to buy liquor or pure vanilla or glasswear or to sit, eat and drink while the stony eyed kids sell chicklets....

how very sad for the people just trying to make a living down in one of the poorest areas in the world, or so it seems....
