Once is an accident. Twice is intentional.

It seems that every other week Google makes an announcement that they have ‘accidentally’ collected a new set of personal data. I wouldn’t be too surprised if in 2012 they announce “We have accidentally used, sold, and shared people’s personal data with the government.”

You can bet that if google can do this, the government WILL do it too. I mean, we live in an age where a person gets arrested for what they post on a church bulletin board!

I'm switching to Bing.com

You'd get better results typing random letters in the address bar. Bing blows.

If Google is picking this up, so can criminal eavesdroppers. If you are not secure on WiFi you are risking having anything you transmit picked up and used to take your identity and/or your money.

you can’t accidentally collect data in the electronics world. You have to tell electronics to do something or else it won’t do it

I think all of them are getting less and less useful. I have to search way too hard for what seem to be simple things, and the first page results are virtually identical between google and bing. I think the engines are being used politically to get green and leftist related pages up front whenever possible.

Can’t prove it, just seems that way to me.

google is evil. They avoid paying taxes, they spy on americans, they advocate and fund propaganda that support higher taxes on everyone but themselves, they censor speech they don’t like

Google should be kneecapped.

And I hear they are not paying their “Fair share” of taxes either.

Hmmmmm. Do good, eh?

I guess it depends on the meaning of the word “good.”

So right! You think they only picked up info from unsecured wifi connections?
