I suspect it is Bloomberg himself who doesn’t like or respect the Tea Party folks.

Originally a liberal Democrat, he only became a Republican to get elected Mayor of New York City.

Because if the TEA party has their way, there will be no more corporate welfare.

You may very well be right. He strikes me as a ‘I'm rich as hell and want to support policies that take care of all those ‘little people’ that I look down on from my perch” kind of rich liberal.

I doubt that “business” fears the TEA Party, but I do think country clubbers and elitists fear them.

TEA Partiers are not anti-business. Many of its members own small businesses. It does not hate profit. It does hate the use of govt. to favor one group over another, robbing Peter to pay Paul, robbing taxpayers to pay off union retirement funds for companies (GM) who promised too much..

Big business doesn’t have the trust of anyone. Who the hell are they to be so discriminating.

Its Bloomberg that doesn’t like the Tea Party. The Tea Party is essentially the GOP rank and file; Bloomberg is a Democrat who repainted himself as a Repub just to take advantage of a vacuum. He isn’t a Repub, so it shouldn’t surprise anyone that he doesn’t like us.

One would think then that the stock market would’ve tanked once it became apparent that Tea Party candidates were well-positioned for November, instead of dramatically rising...

Having been a clubber in the south, I do not know of any that are Marxist.
All that I know have been rock rib conservatives.
Please do not lump us in with Wall Street crooks, east coast elitist and Communist.

business not trust the tea party movement? you mean the movement that is looking to radically reduce government, taxes, and the welfare state?

exactly how would that be bad for business?

my guess... the writer is making sh*t up. but that’s nothing new for the left.

Have you dined with David Rockefeller in your country club? I’m not talking about regular people who go to country clubs. I’m talking about the “Country Club,” “Cocktail Party,” “Rockefeller” republicans. You know, the elitist members of the left wing of the republican party.

I’m certain that some do exist in the South. Why landsakes, where evah else would Miss Pansy Graham go for her Mint Julep? But if you’re a conservative, you’re not one of them.
