The West Central Tribune is the latest daily newspaper in Minnesota to endorse the Independence Party candidate for governor. Tom Horner is in a three-way race with Democrat Mark Dayton and Republican Tom Emmer. The West Central Tribune said Monday that Horner is a moderate, much like the majority of Minnesotans. Several other Forum Communications Co., newspapers have also endorsed Horner, including The Forum of Fargo, N.D., the Duluth News Tribune and the Bemidji Pioneer. The state's largest newspaper, the Star Tribune of Minneapolis, endorsed Horner Sunday in an editorial.

I rather like partisan gridlock.The less this State does, the more free I am.
A surge by Horner would split the pro-tax vote with Mark Dayton.
Why do people from the Dakotas want to be Minnesotans so badly?
I didn’t know they did.
-other than some like coming to visit for the occasional Viking loss or Twins game.
I like those ,too. but for as many games as I attend, I’d rather have ND’s Bakken field or SD’s income tax rate.
Of course they like Horner. He takes votes away from Emmer, a few from Dayton, but ultimately results in a Dayton win.
Then why is a Fargo newspaper endorsing a Minnesota gubernatorial candidate?
