Democrat Richard Blumenthal now leads Republican Linda McMahon by just five points in Connecticuts race for the U.S. Senate in a survey conducted two nights after their third and final head-to-head debate.
The latest Rasmussen Reports statewide telephone survey of Likely Voters shows Blumenthal, Connecticuts longtime attorney general, picking up 51% of the vote. McMahon, the former CEO of World Wrestling Entertainment, earns the vote from 46%. One percent (1%) prefer some other candidate, while three percent (3%) are undecided. The latest numbers move the race from Solid Democrat to Leans Democrat in the Rasmussen Reports Election 2010 Senate Balance of Power rankings.
Just over a week ago, Blumenthal opened a 54% to 43% lead over McMahon the night after their first debate. While the race was closer in several surveys since January, Blumenthal has always held the lead. In 13 surveys this year, the Democrat has drawn 47% to 60% of the vote. McMahon has picked up 31% to 46% support during that same period.

The debate did it!
This is going to get interesting, can’t wait to see the Dims get sweaty over this one, they’ll die over at DU.
A few more % and Blumenthal will crap himself.
Any Republican Senate candidate who if not ahead but is within 5 points of one’s opponent is still definitely in the race.
Having said that McMahon will have to really take the gloves off in the next 17 days and really hammer home how much of a loser Blumenthal has to cause enough female voters in Connecticut to become disaffected from him. The news that Obamacare will raise health care costs in CT by about 50% was fortuitous for McMahon. She needs to ride that narrative and the worsening of the economy to the end if she is to win imho.
GRAB THAT FOLDING CHAIR, LINDA!!!;)
Honestly, I find it unlikely McMahon will win, but she is running a terrific race and really helping to throw the Democrats back on their heels.
Connecticut women want Dick, by a 2/1 margin.
LOL!
Woo-Hoo!
Go Linda!
Wake-Up CT!
Don’t elect the scumbag liar that cost your state zillions in wrongful lawsuits.
I can understand that, but after, can't they still vote for McMahon?
Pretty funny along with your handle.
Linda McMahon could use this as a campaign slogan...
On November 2nd remember to - Dick Blumenthal
Say goodnight bloomingidiot!
Pray for America
McMahon will prove to be a worthless RINO (at best) in the Senate, granted far better then Blumenthal
Schiff was the right candidate we should have nominated in Connecticut
There was. His name is Pete Schiff
Yeah, he would have been awesome.
This is CT!!!!
