A writer for the gay advocacy blog AMERICAblog Gay says that when he applied to be a participant at Thursday afternoon's MTV/BET town hall with President Obama, MTV representatives asked him for a "lighter question."

The girl who asked the Boxer/Briefs question was the daughter of a Viacom company journalist. They sat at the kitchen table and discussed what to ask Bill and settled on a question about drug legalization.
The screeners then demanded something more tame ergo the light hearted "Boxers or Briefs" question.

Our president is a mental midget. That fact cannot be hidden anymore behind lofty degrees from Ivy League schools. He was 100% affirmative action, which is probably why all his transcripts are hidden. He and Joe Biden are actually a very good pair. But are dimbulbs and neither is very witty.

During the primaries, Hilary was asked at a town hall, “Diamonds or Pearls?” I thought she was from Pokemon, but she later said that she was told to ask that, and it wasn’t what she wanted to ask.
Hillary’s Q&A (and debate?) appearances are supposedly heavily scripted with the Queen getting advance review of all questions before they are asked.
