MTV is a joke... I guess they are going to worship Obama before the election and blame the Republicans on all their failures even though the Democrats had a super majority in the House of Representatives, the Senate and the White House.

Back in 2004 MTV-Viacom (sister network of fake but accurate SeeBS) was pushing the meme that Boosh was bringing back the draft and going to send young America into more of his illegal wars.

They were actually interrupting programs with "news updates" about this pending draft. Never mind that the only legislation in the house and senate to bring back the draft were authored by Democrats.

The pravda media openly lies to voters.

They should be held accountable for their naked lies and partisan propaganda. Defund the Left. Demand that your cable bill be designed so you are not funding channels you will never watch. If they refuse to unbundle the programming, drop your paytv service altogether. Defund the Left.

Once upon a time Americans cried that they couldn't "do without" their local newspaper even though they knew it only shilled for Democrat politicians at the local, state, and national level. Now newspapers are dying off because the public isn't buying.

Defund the Left. Drop your pay-tv services.

Trying to turn out the 18-25 vote for Dems on Nov. 2, but this whole Obama thing is so . . . . two years ago.

Another my pet goat moment.

Just let Fox News try something like this with a conservative candidate three weeks before the election and see how fast the FCC destroys them.

Obama refused to even go on any debate handled by Fox.

The debates in the 2008 cycle were fixed. The panelists were pro-Dem with the final one being a PBS newsbabe who just happened to have written a book to be released on Jan 20th, 2009. It's not like she had any conflict of interest in seeing Obama complete the task of winning the White House seeing as how her book was all about the Obama campaign.

I mean, people ALWAYS buy books about the loser on inauguration day, right?

not to mention the rumors that Hillary was being provided the debate questions ahead of debates.

Big ol' WTF there... Go back to playing artsy-fartsy POlice videos and weird hard rock hair bands.

I don't know who owned MTV back in the first years, but several things have changed.

MTV is now owned by Viacom so things like MTV staged "reality" shows can run in syndicated reruns on their other networks (like Paramount) and also, the record companies got greedy. They saw how MTV (and other channels) were "making money" showing music videos (promo clips as they were called in another era). The labels demanded money for what formerly had been "free content".

I'm sure that if they didn't s*ck on Big Media's ****, they could find some REAL independent labels that would GIVE them free videos to run. But then they would be showing real music and not pop pap.

The “FCC” has NO control over Fox News! They are cable NOT Broadcast.

Fred Thompson's Presidential Hopes Could Put 'Law' Reruns in Lockup (Michael D. Shear Washington Post Staff Writer Friday, March 30, 2007)

The FCC rules have never been applied to cable channels, though several legal experts said cable often abides by an equal-time guideline in the hopes of avoiding a legal case that would set a precedent.

I remember when MTV gave an hour of airtime to President Bush...no, wait...

MTV gave 2 balls for Bill Clinton in January 1993 and again in 1997.

When the 2001 inauguration came around, they claimed they just didn't "have the time" to prepare one for Boosh because of the drawn out recount Al Gore hissyfit.

They didn't even have an excuse when 2005 when Bush won again.

Obama got one.

MTV To Host 'Be The Change Inaugural Ball' With ServiceNation On January 20 (Nov 25 2008 6:20 PM EST)

The young environmentalist should know this:

Obama was taking money from a foreign company by the name of British Petroleum.

Headline:Obama biggest recipient of BP cash

“During his time in the Senate and while running for president, Obama received a total of $77,051 from the oil giant and is the top recipient of BP PAC and individual money over the past 20 years, according to financial disclosure records.”

How much of MTV’s funding comes from “Foreign Sources”?

Doubt they will read anything critical of the president though of course.

I do have to agree with you that most likely whoever they put on for the GOP side would be one heck of a borefest and likely cause the audience to fall asleep or tune out.

Probably better we don’t get equal time.

Still peeved he’s getting it at all.

MTV's DONATION of commercial-free time to the titular head of the Democrat Party should be considered what is called an "in-kind" campaign contribution to the Party.

As usual, the Republican Pinata Party will not file an objection.

Who needs campaign contribution regulations, anyhow, when they don't apply evenly across the board.
