Polls are polls. Votes are votes.

O’Donnell was this far behind at a similar point in the primary. She won that by establishing momentum. This time she’s got serious money behind her. The “I am you” commercials had a purpose and they are over. The people here know who Christine is. They about to learn about Chris
Coons. Don’t count her out!

I'm having trouble buying into these polls. The Dems know that if they lose Delaware, it is a total rout, same with West Virginia.

Some pollsters are not above loading the numbers to make them come out right.

ODonnell needs to increase the pressure in the ads and increase the frequency of them on this home stretch.

In my opinion she's going to have a very good venue as long as the Phillies continue on in the playoffs, which they look poised to do. Of course Coons will have the same venue, but it's a perfect opportunity to go toe-to-toe on a regular basis right up to election day. If she can get close by then, turnout might very well give her a shot at it.

Don’t spend another dime on O”Donnell, she is toast. Shift your money and efforts to candidates in tight races in Dem lean or tossup areas. I repeat, don’t get suckered into supporting this candidate. I suggest:

Joe Miller in AK
Fiorina in CA
Raese in WVA

No, the first person he should thank is Castle. What a baby. If he had won he would have expected all of us who voted for CO to support him.

If most of the people in Delaware tend toward Marxism, not much will keep them from voting for the taxman who also has Marxist sentiments. It is just so hard to understand...

She’s a sham. Just look at her “career” and factor in that she’s forty-one years old and hasn’t done/accomplished sh!t. A total attention whore and not a serious candidate. She got the attention she craves and a fat campaign war chest to plunder. She has no real desire to be a senator so she’s just going through the motions and spending the least amount of campaign cash that she can get away with. Regardless, I despise Rove for not holding fire for at least 24 hours to give her a chance to at least enjoy her primary victory.

Another possibility: Obama was embarrassed when he campaigned for Coakley and she lost to Scott Brown. Maybe his advisors have decided campaigning with Coons is an easy “lay up” where they’ll spin that Obama was a decisive factor in the race (even if he isn’t).

...”She’s weak because she has a weak background? No pedigrees?”...

Yeah..We forget the prerequisites..A degree from Harvard, Yale, Princeton or Columbia and the Democratic ownership of certain seats.

She was and is an extraordinarily weak candidate.

Oh man, your not going to be popular. I made the same incredibly obvious observation and was accused of being a Dem plant, a concern troll, etc, etc, etc.

It is one thing to pull for someone, and I am. I would love O'Donnell to win, but it's quite another to bury ones head in the sand and ignore political realities.

With Castle we would have easily won this seat. With O'Donnell we are going to get crushed. Those are the facts. She is doing no better polling wise now than she was right after she was nominated. With Castle we had a vote for majority leader and a RINO that would side with us half the time. With Coons we are NOT going to get a vote for majority leader and will end up with a Senator that sides with us 0% of the time.

Are we just here to cheerlead and live in some alternate fantasyland? How did we get away from the idea of nominating the most conservative candidate that CAN actually win. I believe too many people are living in an echo chamber instead of spending some time at least attempting to take an objective look at whether candidates fit their districts/states.

When Giannoulias is indicted, convicted and imprisoned (an old Illinois tradition), the newly elected conservative Governor Bill Brady will appoint to the vacancy.

That's easily the dumbest idea I've heard in a long time.

My wife keeps getting calls for poles asking what she thinks of Schauer in Michigan. I had answered the phone and put my two cents in, but was told they really wanted DW opinion. Here’s the funny: often on the way to vote she will ask “Now, who should I vote for?” This put a new light on polls.

Here’s a clue for you:

(Concern troll)

Coons is leading, because he’s got nearly unanimous support among democrats.

It is erstwhile REPUBLICANS such as yourself still attempting to re-hash the primary, weenies about supporting O’Donnell, who are the reason O’Donnell is trailing.

Source:
http://www.delawareonline.com/article/20101013/NEWS02/10130333&theme=ELECTION2010

That’s not a source which can be excerpted or posted on FR, but the article mentions 91 percent Democrat support for Coons, and only 67 percent for O’Donnell.

In other words, it is people such as yourself, still seeking a do-over of the primary, who are driving the split.

The primary is over.

"Why is Obama going to campaign for her Coons?"

So Barry can been seen backing candidates who win popularity contests.

And you will recall that the night she was giving her victory speech for the primary, the RNSC was hogging a microphone somewhere stating they wouldn’t give her a dime. COD has had the cards stacked against her by the republican party.
