Good.
The “eco-friendly” bags were weak.
lolol.
So ironic.
HA HA!
When I first got my hearing aids a couple of years ago, the very first thing I noticed was that when I turned on a signal light in my car, it actually did ping, I’d never heard it before.
One of the next things I noticed was when opening a bag of Lays Potato Chips, it is extremely loud. Just handling the bag is loud.
These things are a minor nuisance now, I can hear every word my grand children say to me and that, my friend, is a blessing!
If Frito Lay wanted to kiss up to hippies so bad, why didn’t they just sell marijuana?
This is hilarious! My son took some to college and his roomates almost killed him for making so much noise. This was predictable - noise pollution!
Good...the other day, my daughter was running around the house with one of these bags trying to annoy her brothers. Mission accomplished.
I like Sun Chips and never had an issue with the bag. I mean, isn’t the idea of eating chips because they’re crunchy?
No. 1 rule of business: If you think it will make you money, do it. There is no such thing as a “social conscience”
“The original, plain flavored chips will still be sold in the eco-friendly wrappers.”
But, but, but, but darn it, that is the only version of Sun Chips I occasionally buy!!!! (as a snack at the train station).
A lot of these “green” alternatives have been duds. I remember the big drive to ban styrofoam coffee cups...turns out their paper replacements took more energy to produce. The State of South Dakota recently stopped using 85% ethanol in its fleet vehicles. Turns out that the 85% ethanol fueled vehicles got some 23% less miles per gallon and made them more expensive to operate despite the 85% ethanol blend costing 23 cents per gallon less than gasoline.
I heard sales were down about 11% with the new bag. I’m not surprised. First I had trouble finding my favorite Garden Salsa Sun Chips when they first changed the bag. The new bag was annoying loud.
Thank goodness. I love them and my husband hates the bags. Now I won’t have to listen to him complain!!!
Maybe the eco thing to do is to stop eating crap and pretending it’s food.
***FritoLay hears you. ***
Anyone remember when Fritos corn chip company also produced Tatos Potato chips?
Then they bought Lays and Tatos ceased to exist.
Why?
I don’t understand how a ‘compostable’ bag is more ‘eco-friendly’ than a regular bag. The eco-bag breaks down and releases CO2. Argghhhh! But the regular last-forever bag sequesters carbon for many many years. Isn’t that what the eco-nuts want??
This stupid bag has been around as long as Obama, and just as annoying. At least with the private sector you can get rid of a noisy #*&@# bag...
Not that I bought many of them before, but when they started claiming that Sun Chips were carbon neutral, I decided to never buy them again.
