Where did the singularity come from? If there was a singularity to explode, then there had to be something going on before the event. Maybe M theory will explain it someday.

It's not widely known but this axiom is the foundation of modern science. / How so?

I think I was being sarcastic. The Big Bang, evolution, earth science all seems like complete BS to me. It's as if it were all based upon this butterfly effect.

(FTR I have science degrees myself, and do not pretend to know how any of the stuff we observe came to be. It's just obvious to me what isn't true. I'm a when contradictions exist, examine your premises kind of guy.)
