A liberal protester at the One Nation Working Together march physically assaulted a HUMAN EVENTS reporter who was videotaping Rep. Charlie Rangel (D.-N.Y) at the National Mall in Washington, D.C., where the liberal rally took place. Continues...
So few bothered to show up for the "One Nation" gathering Saturday that the AP claimed the "DC rally shows support for struggling Democrats."
For five weeks, the nuts who organized the nearly nonexistent 'event' billed their little get-together as a counterweight to the Glenn Beck rally, which actually had attendees.
The day before the failed "rally," the always neutral and detached Washington Post ran an article headlined, "One Nation rally energizing liberals." The AP ran a story entitled, "Labor, civil rights groups seek to energize base." 'Expert' political 'observers' predicted that the "enthusiasm gap" would close once America sees and hears Ed Schultz and Al Sharpton ranting like maniacs on a stage.
But the "huge" crowd that was supposed to attend Saturday's "rally" was such a no-show, the media noticed it. Even the AP had to admit that "Saturday's crowds were less dense and didn't reach as far to the edges as they did during Beck's rally." The New York Times similarly acknowledged sadly that "significant areas of the National Mall that had been filled during Mr. Beck's rally were empty." (Rick Sanchez blamed it on the Jews' rally-suppression operation.)
Organizers counter that the Mall was filled to capacity, but that's only if you count Ed Schultz's potbelly.
Liberals left the Mall area filled with empty soda cans, coffee cups, plastic water bottles, posters, food trays, Twinkie wrappers, used condoms and crack pipes. These sanitation-oriented marchers wanted to show how much they revere the environment.
Now that their "massive" "rally" bombed, the Beck-ophobes claim they were not responding to Glenn Beck at all. It was just a coincidence that they held their "rally" near the Lincoln Memorial to not respond to Beck.
Libbies also insist their failed "rally" was a chance to unify America, which had to be why the unifying emcee Ed Schultz warned that "we must fight the forces of evil, the conservatives in this country across the board . . . The conservative voices of America, they are holding you down! They don't believe in your freedom!"
Building on these inspiring and motivational remarks, Schultz then added: "They hate freedom! They reject tolerance! They despise all dissent. They have objectives" -- oh, wait, that was President Bush describing al-Qaeda, a description the New York Times hysterically rejected as too "simpleton."
With the same mindset, the media accused Glenn Beck of trying to discredit the communist nutjobs who organized the "rally" by presenting them as communist nutjobs.
The bottom line is that the unions burned through millions of buckeroos for a low-turnout self-parody to protest the bastard conservative evil-doers for blocking the angelic Democrats who own the House, Senate and White House from enacting their lunatic agenda. That's a chunk of money that won't be available for the usual November vote-fraud ops and other honorable mischief. The "rally" also further nationalizes the elections, and if you're the ruling party presiding over a lousy economy after "Recovery Summer," that's not the first thing you'd want to do. But Democrats have never been accused of having any brains.
Anyway, that's...
My Two Cents...

Corrected, unless an involuntary example can be ID'd.
Excellent wrap-up! Thank you!
From the comments on Human Events Website:
Why were the Park Police so lenient in their treatment of a woman who repeatedly engaged in unprovoked assaults upon an unarmed member of the press?
My reply:
Fellow union menbers?
unifying emcee Ed Schultz warned that “we must fight the forces of evil, the conservatives in this country across the board . . . The conservative voices of America, they are holding you down! They don’t believe in your freedom!”
Gotta say he’s right about that last part, I think they should be locked up in insane asylums, not running around free on the streets.
Good stuff, JH2!!
I sometimes wonder if the folks we saw on the lawn are totally duped by whomever told them to attend or if they truly believe whatever it is they are all supposed to believe.
It looked like a jumbled mass of undereducated and/or angry people being USED by the likes of Van Jones and Schultz and Belefonte and Sharpton. As if these so called leaders of the liberal crap we have all had to endure were there only to raise the level of hate and disdain of conservatives to new highs - knowing the folks there were all too stupid to think for themselves and easy to rile.
Do any of these people see ANYTHING good about our nation? ANYTHING?
It was an ugly look at the democrat base....really ugly. The tone and tenor SO DIFFERENT from Glenn's rally that even uhbama could probably have seen the difference.
Even the educated liberals seem unable to learn from historical fact...socialism, communism and all types of governance that stem from corrupt, freedom crushing ideologies are destined to fail.
I mean----one great big DUH!
