...A big enough loss and Pelosi wont even be minority leader...

:^)

Big smile. Thanks, I needed cheering up, sickoflibs. Because, here in the greater Metro "D" area, believe me, we know losses...Oh, oh, RedEye moment...The "D" knows losses like I know angry bosses, and here comes one now...

They could challenge each other to see who could tell the most lies in 60 seconds. Begala would win every time, I fear....

No worries, SJB! Thanks for the chuckle. Not a very pretty visual, but still funny.

For democrats there are only 2 times that are appropriate for attacking...if you look at a watch and the hands are moving, and when they aren’t moving...those 2 times.

What was once a great political party is now nothing more than a communist front organization.

That is certainly true -- and the Communists are coming out in the open now. At least until November.

But as for "back in the day" .... remember reading about "Pitchfork" Tillman? And how about the "Cross of Gold"? My own grandfather heard that speech as a young man.

Of course, on the other side there were "rum, ruin, and Romanism" and "a chicken in every pot" -- and a "kinder gentler conservatism" that turned out not to be conservative at all.

But so far, Jack Kennedy's "bear any burden" sounds the most hollow, given the 'Rats' "proclivities" since then, thanks to the Redrats.

Any lumpenarmee scene from The Clone Wars would do about as well. <Cue "Emperor Palpatine" theme>

Gotta love those soft, kindly Pelosi eyes.

” The Serpent & The Forehead “ —— Gong Show material.

An indie TV station showed The Assassination of Jesse James last night, and I was amazed to see Serpenthead playing the Governor of Missouri. Brad Pitt played Jesse.

NYT: Yet she insisted that she didn’t mind efforts to take aim at her; Republicans may be raising campaign funds through their “fire Pelosi” appeals, but “so am I,” she said.

Pelosi is getting contributions from "fire Pelosi" attacks? I guess she quotes them in her fundraising efforts?

Nor, with her speakership on the line, does she object to Democrats in conservative districts appealing to their constituents by criticizing her. “I say go for it,” Ms. Pelosi said. She would counsel those vulnerable Democrats, “Just win your election.”

IOW, temporarily pretend you hate me so you can get elected to vote for me as speaker. This is a made-to-order anti-Dem house member ad (TV, radio, whatever). Conservatives, carpe diem!

I’ve been thinking Hoyer (if he wins, he’s in a tiny amount of danger himself) will be the minority leader no matter how large the minority.

As for the dems who say they are against Pelosi, they all voted for her.
