Trouble Between Beck and Fox News?
The (Fred) Grandy Group ^ | September 30, 2010 | Michael Hoffman

Posted on 09/30/2010 6:27:18 AM PDT by Virginia Ridgerunner

Who needs who more? Does Glenn Beck need Fox News or is it the other way around?

Ailes, who declined to comment for this article, has generally been supportive of Beck. But he has also been vocal around the network about how Beck does not fully appreciate the degree to which Fox News has made him the sensation he has become in recent months. In the days following Beck’s Lincoln Memorial rally, which by Beck’s estimate drew a half-million people, Ailes told associates that if Beck were still at Headline News, there would have been 30 people on the Mall. Fox News devoted less news coverage to the rally than CNN and MSNBC did, which Beck has pointed out himself on the air.

>>>>who is Fred Grandy and why does it matter to him?

He used to be my congresscritter. Got run out of Iowa politics because he wasn’t pure enough for party establishment.

So to beleive this piece of wishful thinking (crap), Ailes would have to want whatever the hell it was that they were getting paltry ratings for that time slot. The latest ratings were just released and beck has the #3 show, during the drive hour! Just below Hannity and above Gretta.

If there is any tension in the hallways I would expect it to be BOR's worthless staff because Beck is getting all the scoops. BOR last night had to resort to interviewing Dee Dee Myers and that worthless joke of a comic Bill Marr.

Beck had Danish D'Souza on last night and tonight to explain the anti-colonialism mindset he beleives is what drives Obama to rip our country.

Which is of more social import to our country right now?

Glenn needs FOX.

He was never going to be another Rush. Where would he go and see such success as he does now?

Fox News needs Glenn....
Glenn has great female demographics which is the holy grail of talk radio and this kind of TV.

Glenn is perfect for the 5PM slot because it seems you have great numbers of female potential viewers at that time. The husband has not yet returned from work or if he has he wants to chill out and not watch something political

Notice how Fox previously had Laura Ingraham in the 5PM slot. As soon as Beck became available she was hustled out. Both bring in female viewers

I like Glenn... I can hardly watch fox any longer. I bought my last truck with an XM Radio in it so that I could listen to Britt Hume on the way home from work. I never use it to listen to fox. I cannot stomach what passes for fox these days... a bunch of leftards pretending to be fair and balanced while serving their saudi overlord. They are the best... of the worst... I wish that someone would actually open a news corporation that was devoted ONLY TO THE TRUTH THROUGH NEWS. Their motto:

"WE report the TRUTH... if you don't like it... tune in msnbc"

I hear Mark Levin is pretty good. He could take Beck’s spot.

I find Beck presents a compelling case day after day, and does a good job of authenticating the work. My problem is that because of the hour I only get to view his show a couple days a week.

“Beck’s TV show is practically un-watchable. His whining and self promotion turn me off.”

I have never seen Beck on TV, and on the radio just this week,
for the first time in maybe 15 years.

He turned me off when he went into castigating the birthers.
I know that he has very devoted FReepers, and I applauded his
rally in DC, but for some reason, he does not seem to be my type.
I will stick to RUSH, and my Rush 24/7

Isn’t the difficulty getting ads because of the communists who threaten the advertisers...who are chicken about being boycottted for advertising on Beck’s show?

This thread and some of it’s posters are SO full of feces that they/it needs a septic tank. Roger Ailes(2nd in command of Fox News under Rupert Murdock) hired Glenn Beck and he can fire him.

“...now he is a Mormon televangelist...”

I don’t agree.

Beck is a patriot and is delivering a message every American needs to hear.

Now that’s the truth, CC. Beck last week and this are Grand Slams. With D’Souza on, I am half expecting the lights to be blown out over the network lines.

Glenn and Rush are both good at what they do. Glenn does the job Rush doesn’t do.

He has unraveled and shown all the connections that are the democrat party and Obama. You really needed visuals for that so his TV show is very necessary.

Rush is unparalled as a radio talk host for conservatism and is good at riling up the administration to look and act foolish. The regime of Obama play into his hands.

I hate it when people try to compare them.

Obozo hates them both.
