Popular control over private corporations? Besides Obama and FDR, when did this happen before?

Before WWII there was a large fascist movement in America on the east coast. They would meet at Madison Square garden all dressed up in NAZI uniforms and it was a sellout crowd.

FDR even liked Hitler’s form of government.

I however will not survive in a fascist country, just me.

Yeah, that’s the solution. Have the unions take control. Right. They’ll represent the populous. Look how well they represent us in the schools and the auto companies.

Buy stock. It’s good for the workers, good for the economy and good for capitalism for the laboring producers to have a share of ownership and a legitimate voice in running corporations. Maybe not so good for the class warfare model of labor relations that is the Big Labor model.

Trumka is the head of a private corporation. I propose we string him up first ~ just get that stuff out of the way right now.

“The people” could simply buy stock and attend the stock holder meetings - fact is, that is exactly what happens.

If we truly had a pro-American media this would be front and center in the news cycle. This is an egregious thing to say, and is totally at odds with the principles on which this country was founded. It’s also an oxymoronic comment. When entities are under ‘popular control’ they are no longer ‘private’. We have to defend ourselves against dangerous ideologues like this guy. I’m sure there were moments just like this in Russia before the Bolshevik revolution, and in Germany in the mid-1930s. We ignore this stuff at our own risk.

I think everyone should be able to vote in any union election.

Trumka finally came out of the communist closet. He had been skirting around the CPUSA for decades. Nussbaumw as a member of the CP’s youth arm, the WEB DuBois Clubs. So was Karen Ackerman, AFLCIO’s Political Director, and possibly a member of their newer arm, the Young Workers Liberation League.

Other local leaders in the AFLCIO are definitely CP members and supporters, including the Balanoffs, Acosta, Bacon, etc. Andy Stern is in a red league of his own and under a federal investigation to boot.

Might as well rename the White House the “Red House”.
