Italy seizes high-grade explosives

Customs officers in southern Italy have seized six to seven tonnes of high-grade explosives en route from Iran to Syria, the Italian ANSA news agency said on Tuesday, quoting sources.

Investigators said the RDX explosives, found at the port of Gioia Tauro in the Calabria region, were hidden in a container transporting powdered milk.

RDX is fast stuff, that much would make a LOT of IEDs.

And it was found in a port in Italy? The Iranians could have taken it by camel and made better time and less cost.
