Dem wars: Lanny whacks Rachel (Rachel Maddow the dem Tea Party)

Rachel Maddow has become a target of some on the left.

Lanny Davis has called her "sanctimonious and intolerant" in an interview.

Back on March 31 Maddow said on her MSNBC show that "Bill Clinton was probably the best Republican president the country ever had."

Clinton didn't forget. He fired back this week:

"One of the leading television commentators on one of our liberal cable channels said I was the best Republican president the country ever produced, which would come [as] quite a surprise to the Republicans, half of whom still think I'm a closet communist.

"What she meant by that was I didn't necessarily follow their 'conventional wisdom. I said, 'What do you mean?!'" The 42nd president defended his record as pragmatic.

During yesterday's interview, Davis teed off on Maddow by suggesting she is somewhat extreme. "We have our tea party side," he said.

While calling Maddow "very talented and very smart," the Washington lawyer declared:

"But she's sanctimonious and intolerant of anyone who disagrees with her. So, if it's Bill Clinton, she calls him a Republican because he doesn't meet Rachel Maddow's test. So, the worst element of our party are people who call themselves liberal who are actually illiberal because they are intolerant of anyone who disagrees with them... "It's called the demonization of political opposition."

Thank heaven Obama, Ried, Pelosi, Boxer, Clinton, Biden, etc and the rest of the democratic party is not like this. Can you imagine what sort of the country would be in now with them in power?

This appears to be a manufactured conflict. Staged.

A tactic used by leftists the purpose of which is to define one or both parties involved as having a particular inclination towards the left or the right.

What gives it away is the fact that it has become a news story. The nature of the alleged disagreement is of the type that would normally remain private, with no need to bring it into the public eye.

In this case, they seem to be trying to make the Clintons look more conservative.

I guess I would be one of that half. Above all, Clinton was not ideallogically suicidal. But he did fill the bureaucracies with lefties, swept jihadi attacks under the rug, tried to move us toward the European model, and undermined our military. Let us not forget the security breach at Los Alamos, Sandy Berger and sock-gate, clearing American technology products to be shipped to China, etc. And look at all his minions working for the current Marxist government. Yes, I think Bubba was a commie . . . he was just a whole lot smoother at hiding it. . . . IMHO

This quote is a gold mine. Not only is B.J. admitting MSNBC is liberal, but he also affirms there's more than one channel out there. The next time a lib tries to laugh off the left-wing bias of the media, I'll use this quote.

I don’t listen to MSNBC an must admit I don’t listen to Rachel Maddow. However with what I’m reading I wonder if she is either a conservative Dem (old school maybe) or maybe a liberal totally unsatisfied with what is happening and is stirring the waters of discontent.

I don’t know, just a thought. I’m still not listening to her or MSNBC. Or several other national news makers (ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN).
