A National Republican Senatorial Committee tells THE WEEKLY STANDARD in an email it's very unlikely that national Republican party organizations will be spending money on Christine O'Donnell's Senate bid in Delaware:
SNIP
Matt Hoskins, a spokesman for Senator Jim DeMint's Senate Conservatives Fund, writes in an email to TWS that the Senate Conservatives Fund is rising to the challenge:
The party's coordinated spending limit for a Senate nominee in Delaware is $87,000. The RNC and the NRSC each have that limit so it is double that amount. $174,000 total. Since the party is saying they will cut her off, this will be SCF's initial goal. We will likely raise her this money from grassroots by next week.
This will be $174,000 in new money earmarked for O'Donnell. On the Senate Conservatives Fund website, donors can choose to earmark their donations for a specific candidate or candidates. Hoskins says the SCF has not decided whether to make independent expenditures, which can be unlimited, from its general fund on O'Donnell's behalf.

DeMint is looking BETTER AND BETTER.
Hope he runs for President.
Does she have a chance in blue Delaware? If so, how big of a chance? Snowball’s in Hades? Slim to none?
Or is it possible we can squeak out a win there?
Anybody have a good feel for that state?
Thats wonderful!
Senator DeMint steps up to help Christine AND
simultaneously SMACKS Cornyn and the damn NRSC!
!!!!!
WOO-HOO AND GOD BLESS SENATOR DEMINT
I’d “betcha” (sorry, had to get that in there) that she will raise more money than she would have had through the NRSC! She has good people on her side and that includes the public...
We can do this! Yes most of us are having tough times due to the economy, but imagine how much worse it will get under the current ideology. Just give what you can. A little adds up fast.
I went over there and made a donation.
I don’t often disagree with my Senator Cornyn when he’s representing me in Texas. However, when he represents the NRSC, I seem to disagree with him over and over.
He does listen, however. I’ll call his San Antonio office and the NRSC tomorrow and let him know that he’s wrong on this one.
i dont think a palin/demint will add anything to strengthen the ticket. Most of their supporters already back each other. I prefer a Palin/Rand Paul or a Palin/Peter Schiff
I’m in bed now, but I commit to donate $100 to CO in the morning. She’s really captured my imagination. Screw that old bastard Castle!
Jim TheMint $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
Well done, DeMint!
Funny you should ask. (1) I have polled in the state MANY times and I was on the ground in DE yesterday. (2) DE really is liberal and in most years O'Donnell would have no chance at all there. (3) This is not most years. The truth is that no one knows whether Christine has a chance in November (or whether her opponent has a chance). It will come down to what happens over the next few days and to a lesser extent for the next couple of weeks. I already voted with my dollars though - gave the maximum legal amount to Christine's campaign (and to quite a few others). This is NOT a sure thing, but our odds are good enough that I put my money where my mouth is.
I hope and pray that the other FR readers are with me. Give directly to Christine O'Donnell and to other conservative candidates. Today. Give generously. Give more than you would in a normal year and give more than you think you can afford - it's a whole lot cheaper than losing to the Obama/Pelosi camp!
Yup, you gave the most reasonable answer than few on this board are willing to give.
I’m sick of this “she can’t win” BS. The truth is nobody knows, she has a decent chance but it’s not a guarantee by any means, and BTW all the talk about Castle being a guaranteed win is also a lot of nonsense, he might have had a better chance to win than her but I don’t think the difference would have been as great as some think.
It will be a tough fight but at least it is now a victory that worth fighting for.
By the way, An individual may give a maximum of: $2,400 per election to a Federal candidate or the candidate's campaign committee. Notice that the limit applies separately to each election. Primaries, runoffs and general elections are considered separate elections. I don't know how many Freepers can give that much to Christine O'Donnell, but I hope everyone will give what they can.
This is a twofer. Helps O’Donnell and helps Demint.
Do you have a link where I can donate? I’m so sick of the national Republican Party I’m about to puke.
Then, it's very unlikely that I'll be spending money on national Republican party organizations. I'm not alone.
The most frustrating part of this for me is the RNC already writing her off. How the heck do they *know* she can’t win? By denying her funding, they’re guaranteeing her failure.
If I were a resident of Delaware, I’d be foaming at the mouth right now.
BUMP!
