We must mentor them to open their eyes. I am doing so now with a college intern. Be prepared, they ask so many questions and challenge you to defend your positions.

Thank you for that. Our President conducted himself with honor, integrity and compassion throughout the aftermath of 911. That can never be taken away from him, though many still try. I can honestly say that President Bush was a part of my healing process, and I don't think I'm alone in that. He proved himself capable of beinging a great leader of a great nation throughout a time of unprecedented national crisis. His leadership was unwavering during our...

national grief...

As we found and embraced the enormity of our outrage...

And helped us find our strength and resolve

These are images that will be with me forever.

They “organize” communities they have no stake in.

Exactly!

Obama's "community organizing" left Chicago neighborhoods in ruins.

Grim proving ground for Obama's housing policy

"About 99 of the units are vacant, many rendered uninhabitable by unfixed problems, such as collapsed roofs and fire damage. Mice scamper through the halls. Battered mailboxes hang open. Sewage backs up into kitchen sinks. In 2006, federal inspectors graded the condition of the complex an 11 on a 100-point scale - a score so bad the buildings now face demolition."

“The free-speech advocates are nowhere to be found to defend a minister who wants to burn Korans in protest.”

Riiiight.

I don't get to come here much, due to the particularly nasty vortex that continues to consume most of my time, perhaps for as much as 6 more months. But on this day, a visit to FR has become mandatory.

We were here together that day. My first reaction was deep outrage, and I wasn't the only one that thought that an appropriate response would have been turning Saudi Arabia into a 'glass parking lot' with three tactical nuclear weapons, one for each of the planes that Saudi terrorists high-jacked and used to kill the passengers, themselves and roughly three thousand other Americans.

I too marveled at George W. Bush's strength of character, and his ability to lead the nation.

But to this day, I am led to believe that our 'War on Terror' has been too little, far too late and far less effective than our response ought to have been.

It is nice to see public intellectuals re-emerge because of the internet from the long dark night of the mass media and left control of the universities.

Yes indeed, particularly when those intellectuals are conservative and have a sense of humor:

"Feminism's legacy: YouTube catfights."

I love it.
