Thank You for perfectly and wonderfully forming Ethan in his mother’s womb. Thank you for this loving couple-—ready and willing to love, nurture, and guide this precious child of Yours. Bring him into this world in peace and may he find security and blessing in the arms of his parents. Thank You that You will take care of every detail of the birth experience. We exalt Your Name for this beautiful gift of life. In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

First step, throw out the how-to books! It’s all on-the-job training ;)
I’ve got 4 of them, one 12 y.o. girl, one little guy who turned 8 yesterday, a 6 y.o. daughter, and one hellraiser who turns 3 on the 28th (he’s definitely his father’s son). I’m still learning, and no, not looking forward to the teenage years next year—I remember myself as a teenage girl!
Congratulations and prayers for a speedy and safe delivery for Mom and Ethan.
