” Frank Sinatra had quite a different take when a cartoon poked fun at President Reagan’s poor hearing. The singer wrote a letter to say he’d had more than enough of Conrad’s “viciousness and hatred.”

“He is a disgrace to responsible journalism,” Sinatra wrote. “And you all ought to be ashamed of yourselves for hiding behind the First Amendment, which was never intended for people like Conrad anyway.”

About all one needs to know.

Conrad and Oliphant are 2 horrible leftist POS.

There is no need of a Hell for such people, as lives spent in bitter, burning hatred, choking on their own bile, are punishment enough.

One thing is for sure. You don’t win three Pulitzer Prizes unless you are a hateful, flaming leftist.

One of his most egregious cartoons was one in which the history of Mexico was represented by a book, while the history of the US was represented by a gun. Seems to me that it should be the other way around.

Back in the late 1980s, I met Conrad a couple of times - his boss was marrying a friend of mine.

Both times, he was rude, loud and extremely drunk.

He won’t be missed by me.
